Making header banners.....?
Just wondering how to make a header banner from a picture I've taken myself....not of myself of course...that would just scare people away. Sorry very new to this and I just can't move on without getting a header banner up. Do you have to resize it or use some software on it before saving it in pics management?

Re: Making header banners.....?
Well, a regular picture would be way to big. I advise to make it about a 1000px wide max, you can choose the hight yourselfs.
Then just add the picture through ACP -> Display -> manage images and upload it as the forum main logo.
When you upload it at the ACp, you can size it, but you can also resize at cut your images in paint, photoshop or an other program.

You will also need to upload the picture to a image hosting site to use it on your forum. You can not just use an image from your computer.

upload the pic using the forums up-loader.
go to
Admin panel>Display>Pics management>Advanced mode
right at the top of the list you will see Forum main logo : first. on the left hand side click on where it says upload a picture, and upload from there. then you can add it as your banner.

Arielo: Not really. It's just what you prefere. I myself like banners who are smaller in hight than in widht, so I make them long and 'thin'. Others want a higher or smaller banner. So it really depends on what you like and how you want your forum to look like.
