Is it possible to import your external forum after a page has been made?
Hi, I've recently created a forum with forumotion as a means to migrate my previous forum and its members. At that time, we were prepared to move and start everything over, and so I created the forum with that notion in mind. Now we would most prefer if everything were able to be migrated over. I have the SQL database and haven't begun to add anything regarding the current database for the site I made on forumotion. Is there a way to get a forum import form like the one that is asked upon creating a forum here?

Hi,
I believe once you've passed that page when making your forum that you don't have that option unless you create another forum. I could ask to be sure but I won't get an answer until Tuesday as our Pro Admin who'll know this doesn't work on Weekends and its a Holiday in France on Monday so she'll be out of office.

Okay, I understand. Could you please message her and respond when she gets back, then? I'll understand if there's no going back, but I'd like to exhaust any options I have here before giving up. I've already purchased a domain here, so it looks like I'm stuck with the forum I've created for now.

I'll ask and either Buttercup or I will get back to you in this thread.

Hello
If I well understand:
- You have an external forum
- You want to import your external forum on our service
- You've already created a Forumotion forum + purchased a domain name
- You did not use the 4th step of database importation and you want to know if it is still possible to import your external forum?
- Could you please provide your Forumotion Forum (domain name + original url)
Thanks

Hi,
Buttercup should be back today, be aware that she's based in a office in France.
Have you also sent an email to the migration team? migration@forumotion.com

Hello
Sorry for the late answer. We can find a solution without any problem.
Could you please send me all following information via private message:
- URL of your forum (on Forumotion) + domaine name
- Foundation email
I'll ask how you can transfer the database to our service once I receive your PM
Thanks in advance
Buttercup
