Registration does not work still

the registration process.. how it is set up.. is the forumotion weakest link... even to find information on how to deal with the bad coding is difficult... posts moved, buried, marked as solved while the problem still exists.

Yes Admins can get in easily... this doesnt help the poor snooks trying to register... please just fix the issue and make the registration process simple and operational.

What exactly is the issue?

I cannot guess what is causing the problem.
We have checked the settings.. everything looks right.. no vacation.. no under construction.. no spam filters...

they create a nic.. they're told the email has been used when it has not.. when using a different email it appears to go through and then, just like mentioned in so many posts... the password is not accepted... told it doesnt match...

so either its not asking for the password and wants the name.. or its not accepting the stupid bot check.. we tried the case sensitive garbage... 

my last forum we had sixty people sign up in a few days... here on forumotion no one can register.

The passwords issue means they genuiunely must have retyped the password wrong .

You can disable the bot code (captcha) in acp-->Users and Groups-->User options--> Confirmation code: set to no and save.

still the registration is broken

a person attempts to create a name... gives email and password

is asked to resubmit password / no place to input name


the password is rejected every time... I have been trying this garbage for three hours... what a waste of time... I think private hosting with phpbb is the only real option here.

Is your password atleast 7 characters long?

So on the page that ask for you to confirm your password there is no box?

I just tested your forum, and I saw the box to confirm my password.  Is this issue occurring on mobile devices or desktops?

The problem seems to be that I used the email prior on a name I deleted (?) 
Because with a new email it works... 

I would like users to be able to have multiple names using the same email.

I need to figure out setting up the register with Facebook. Log In with Facebook.

You guys are really exceptional with the assistance. I had a tone or attitude when I first arrived here and I want to apologize for that. You guys do good work here helping us users figure things out. Thanks for not holding my misdirected mood against me.

You can not create multi-accounts with the same email address.

Just a little thing for you to put in mind.
Our system will not let you make more then one account with the same Email address this is set in out spam filter system.

If your forum is saying you can not make an account with a username then this is a setting on the spam filter system that can be turned off in your ACP

Unauthorize subscriptions made with the most commonly used spam usernames. :   NO

IP address accounts creation limit, for each 24 hours :   0

I follow your advice and end up with results I had hoped for. 

I managed to place the facebook sign in... so if the registration is too complex -it isn't- for users.. they have an alternative.. It's working... now the people are worried about their IPs being revealed and I found in settings how to address that. I have to say, I am enjoying this forum site... there is a lot that can be done with customization.
