In progress Auto Log out

Post by Kirbs June 5th 2015, 6:09 am

It's been happen for a while now but this time it pissed me off so bad which is why im now here Q_Q... Every time I go to EVERY forumotion forum, be it mine or other's or even this forum after 2-3 minutes I get logged out and it asks me to log in again, sometimes it shows me the message which says "season expired" or something like that and sometimes it just logs me out without any previous warnings.. It's starting to get really annoying so I was wondering if there's a way to fix it

Thanks in advance!

When you are being logged out, are you exactly doing something?  I mean browsering pages, reading topics, posting a reply or a new topic, etc.

Does this happen on other forums not hosted by Forumotion?  It sounds like it is something on your end.

Check if the cookies are enable in your browser...
Also, try use another browser for a few hours and see if also happend there... If does, its a problem in the website.
If not, is a problem in your browser. Smile

Cookies are enabled, cleared cache a couple of times... Used a lot of different browsers and even downloaded new ones.. The problem still happens at every website and/or forum :/ I understand this is no longer an issue related to forumotion forums but I would deeply appreciate it if you guys could help me out with fixing it

Try from an incongito tab. This means it.will not remmeber any possible cookies stored before it was open, likewise it remmeber any cookies stored after its closed. This is a good way to see its a cookie issue.

Well if it is only happening with only one laptop, then it sounds like an issue with that laptop.

If it was the forum, both laptops would have the same issue.

Well any changes with any scripts? Because although the script may not cause any issues with the site itself, it may aggravate that laptop and your laptop may mess up with it. I would try searching through your scripts and see.

Hello!
I've been following the progress of this topic and now I want, if you could, answer the following questions:

1- What is the Operating System?
2- What is the browser where the problem started? Including the complements added in the browser;
3- What is the way that you have access to internet, is using cable or wireless?
4- Do you share the internet with someone else?
5- What is the antivirus program do you use?

As a last resort, you would like to have a remote access connection using a program for this, such as TeamViewer?

Thanks for the answers,

1- What is the Operating System?
64-bit Operating system on both laptops

2- What is the browser where the problem started? Including the complements added in the browser;
Well it started in google chrome, more like first discovered there and when i tried the other browsers they all had the same problem

3- What is the way that you have access to internet, is using cable or wireless?
Wireless

4- Do you share the internet with someone else?
I share my internet with one other laptop (which makes them three laptops in the house), two PC's, four Samsung devices(Galaxy Grand 2, Note 4, Note 3, Galaxy Tab) and three Iphones (Iphone 4S, Iphone 5S gold, Iphone 5S black)

5- What is the antivirus program do you use?
Don't use any anti-virus programs on both laptops

Also i'd be glad to use Teamview with you anytime you want, i'll send you my info in a PM so you will be able to connect

Thanks!

Since you will be handling this off the support forum, I will locked this topic.  Please use pm's if you still need help from JScript.  If the issue is determined to be on the forum, not on your side, please open a new topic.
