Are you wanting to add a domain name to another domain name, not just the original forum's link?  If yes, I believe you can not attach a domain name to another one.  Also you can not have 2 domain names redirect to the same forum.

Hello SLGray.

All I have asked was to delete my old domain name,
and to add the new name that we own now.
Just renew the domain name with my new domain name:

If you want to use the new domain name, you will have to cancel the old one if it has not expired.

Well then just add your new one.  You can not have a domain name redirect to another domain name.  You can only have it redirect to your forum.

Hello Team.

what I do not Understand is,
why that has to take so long time to change my domain name?
So I did not buy that domain from forumotion - from my reasons,
And this change can not be done on my end part as owner of my site.
I do not need you to manage my domain....all I need is you to add my new domain name.
That can be done with no time from your end part,
so why my site needs to be off the net for days?

Hello,

I am sure you can add the domain name itself.

Thanks,
ChanelW :rose:

To bad that you have no idea how the system works on the "Admin panel" of forumotion.
when you are the fonder of your site = you are Equuleus To "User - Admin ",You do not run the domain as Root/Admin of the Board.
That say = You do not see allot of options on the ACP.
So please don't post here that kind of Answers ChanelW.

Hello,

Since you've purchased your domain from an external domain registrar, have you configured all the necessary settings (including the CNAME and the Host Records)?

It usually takes about 48 hours to redirect an external domain name to a Forumotion forum.

Hello team.

well now,72/48/24 hour.....all pass and yet my site do not have my new domain name.
All I have ask is that you set my new domain name not more.

So what If I did not get that domain name from you?
you can keep adding BS to that post,But to do your end part of the Job....
SO After more then A week,It is time that you will solve that issue for my site.

This is not support work... All I need is that you do your end part of the work.
All the input's from Other User do not solve nothing if you do not have permission.

So...can you get that done OR Not?

Thank you.

Hello team.

Again, I like to know how long that will take you to set my new domain name?
To add domain to my own server takes 5 min, I did not ask for you to mange my new domain!
I do not need you to manage my new domain - just to add it to my site.

This is the support work,so please do your part.
thank you.

Do your part, this is not joke not for me and not for my site.
