Reputation Justification Requirement
Hello
I'd like to request a very efficient, useful script for the reputation system.
I'd like it so that every time someone wants to give a reputation vote, they are required to justify why. Minimum of 3 words.
At the very least, I find this necessary for negative reputation points. The positive ones can remain as simple as they are. But the negative ones, well, it would prevent a lot of the abuse.
Could someone come up with a script for this? Thank you
Much love!

Re: Reputation Justification Requirement
How about removing the negative vote?

Re: Reputation Justification Requirement
well the negative vote is still relevant. it has its purpose. it deters people from spamming or making generally offensive posts, and even if it doesn't prevent it, at least it alerts the staff when someone does that, without having to read every single post, just by monitoring the rep exchanges.
only problem is that some people give negative rep for perfectly fine posts, often times by accident (mobile interface or just the close proximity of the positive/negative buttons play a part here). other times, they just don't think it through, and if you ask them to explain why, they just say "cause I felt like it".
So having a pop-up to ask for a justification would be most useful.
It's a feature that my members requested. I'm actually sad I didn't come up with the idea myself, but the guys in our member's council have, and I'm forwarding it to you, because I think it's brilliant.
Thank you, @SLGray, for your interest
Hope to hear more from you or @Ange Tuteur on this matter

Re: Reputation Justification Requirement
Or you could have the positive vote have a greater value then the negative vote. So in a way the negative vote will not count as much.
Positive Vote = 2 or greater
Negative Vote = 1
Positive Vote = 2 or greater
Negative Vote = 1

Re: Reputation Justification Requirement
This could be done in some way, but I don't think that you could save the reason(I mean the user would input the reason, but it you would not be able to see it, because we don't have where to have as forumotion does not give us access to our forum's databases). If you still want it this way, just leave a message here.
