Login problems
Hello,
since yesterday some of members of my forum report problems with login. In short they can't login to their accounts or recover their password. One of them sent me this, when I asked if she recieved some error messages:
The problem apperaed suddenly, no changes done by me in administration panel.
Thanks in advance for your help.

I have such reports from two members so far.
Re: Login problems
Try and change the password then use your ACP to Email the member with a new password once they are in then ask them to change it back to the one they had before.

Yes, this is what I thought about. Any idea what could cause the troubles?
Anyway, I'll try to follow your advice and let you know if the issue is solved.

When she have new password, try to tell her clear forum cache and cookie by clicking this link https://zodlikeproductions.forumotion.com/?mode=delete_cookies
Re: Login problems
3rd user reported me similar issue. However, he was able to change his password and he can log in again.
So far it were 2 users from the US and one from Australia. European users seem to be able log in correctly.

Re: Login problems
Are the users having problems admins? Cause that error should only occur for users who are administrators (i.e have access to the admin panel) of the forum.

Nope. One of them (who posted me info in the screengrab above) has moderator premissions. Other two are just registered members. Weird. So far all reported issues were solved.
Maybe I should notice that, at the same time as the first case was reported to me, I entered the Administration pannel and in the statistics section I had no access to the Map. It just shown info about that the web page, that provides this service, is not accessible. If it is somehow related I have no idea...
Re: Login problems
I believe the map feature who is online was removed a year or so ago because Google started charging for its use.
Ok that makes sense then, because the security feature does also prevent moderators from resetting passwords.
If you want to, you can disable this feature by going to ACP-->General-->Security-->Disable password recovery for administrators and moderators : tick to no and save.

Re: Login problems
Okay, thanks for reactions and hints! I consider the issue as solved. Either it wa some strange coincidence or some kind of rare issue. I had no further reports regarding login problems and the reported ones were solved.
