Solved Mobile version problem

Post by HappyUnicorn2 August 17th 2020, 11:56 am

Hello everybody, I have a one problem with the mobile version namely I've noticed that the hidden topics (only for members) are visible in the mobile version. The web version works perfect, nobody see it except of members. Is there some way to make the hidden topics invisible on the mobile version?

Greetings
xoxo

Solved Re: Mobile version problem

Post by Ape August 17th 2020, 2:38 pm

Hi @HappyUnicorn2

Thank you for your report about this problem.

As I have never used this setting on my forum with mobile I am not sure if this setting was even installed on the mobile Version but I think it should be if it's not already.

So What I have done is made a report on my bugs page for our tech team to take a look at this for you.

As soon as I get a reply I will get back to you or some one from the head office will reply Wink

Have a great day and please remember keep safe.

Ape and the team.

Hello @HappyUnicorn2 I have got a reply from our head office.

Can you give me a link to the topic on your forum where the hide a post is being used on so I can pass this on to our head office.

We have tested this on our side and don't get the same problem.
It would help us see this for our self and run tests to see why you are getting this problem.

Best regards.

APE.

hi, oh of course, I have to add that the Index page is fine (you can't see the hidden topics on the front Index page) but you can do this when you choose the option called "The new activity" (Polish: Nowa Aktywność) with a new post, there are the hidden topics that you can browse. Smile would be great if the hidden topics aren't visible in the "new activity" tab.

greetings.

Wait a minute!  Are you talking about topics in a forum that is not visible to guests or hidden texts in posts?

the first one: "topics in a forum that is not visible to guests"

via mobile version: when I'll choose "Active topics" icon (as a guest) I see all topics even the hidden ones and I can read it.

oh ok I read it wrong I read it you had a topic and you used the Hide tag and when you was on a mobile you could see the hide text in the topic.

In this case we would have to change the report I gave the head office.

Can you send me a link to the topic's you are talking about this must be a link not just telling me where to find it.

Also can you take a screen shot of the following.
ACP >> General >> Forum >> Categories and forums
I need a screen shot of the Permissions for that forum you are talking about.

ah I'm so sorry, I'm stupid Smile
I selected the permissions only for the categories not for individual topics, now I fixed it and changed the permissions in every single topics for *only registered users* and now it works fine on the mobile version.

once again sorry that I bothered you all.
