Hey all!


I've been pushing @LGforum really hard to get AvacWeb back on track the last few months and I've become a co-owner of the site.

It's an honor to be a part of bringing AvacWeb back to you and I can happily announce we will be back open officially on Friday 29th April 2016!


We've got plenty of new features, tutorials, AvacWeb Chat (AWC) updates and site related stuff still coming up. To give you a glimpse of what's new:

New URL

Staff
Staff got replaced. The new AvacWeb staff team now consists of 3 admins:

We'll be hiring new staff on various positions as needed.

Alright, it's time for some minor updates.
Site updates:
We've added 2 new colour themes for the randomly coloured boxes around the site to make the random colour theme more interesting and variable. We hope you like it!
The Dashboard on the homepage has been updated to include a bit more information, also to display your current status which you can update from the homepage whenever you like, your status will appear under your username in your posts.
Affiliates:
We're looking for some good affiliates. If you wish to affiliate AvacWeb, please make sure to check out our Affiliate Program. We've got different programs for advertising, some for which you'll need an account on AvacWeb.

Want to have a go at our next AWC test release and share your findings? Better know, it won't be an easy assignment! If you've got well developed communication skills (preferably in English) and you're willing to participate in some extensive test-runs AND you've got the time to report back to us a couple of times a day, it's about time you'd let us know by replying to this topic!
We're looking for a small test panel, people who've got the latest AWC v2.0 installed at the moment, the time, and the passion to be involved developing AWC and take it a step further, compare our test results and have them discussed. We're also looking for members who've got a medium size to large community running and are willing to take part in a next AWC release test.
So, all in all , currently, we're looking for:

• 1 phpBB2 admin
  
• 2 Invision admins, and
  
• 2 punBB admins

phpBB3 has already been fully covered by LGforum, David B, Andrei34 and me, so don't you worry about that one. phpBB2 tester 1 is brandon_g.
Catch is, you've got to fill out your forum version in your profile and let us know the URL to your site. Most importantly, all that is discussed, all the features you see or find MUST remain a secret up to our final release upon being permanently banned from AvacWeb if we find out you're not true, won't comply, tell others about our lastest and newest AWC features or leave our team before getting AWC v2.1 out to our members first.
So, what's next? Really, really, REALLY want to be part of the team? Reply to the topic now, before someone else does! and let me know! Once in the team, you'll be given access to our AWC Test Community Forum to discuss all of your findings with your team mates before going live with AWC v2.1.

The status update module has been stopped working in this topic due previous domains and subdomains of avacweb are not exist. There are many forums which are using avacweb's modules and the members are complaining. Can you update the avacweb's tutorials/codes etc. please?

avacweb is close forever?

Hi

I'm not entirely sure really what 'd be the reason, but since Avacweb has gone down, many of chatboxes have gone with it too. Jordan (LGforum) even left his leopardgecko forum for it and left us all in dispair, including me, as a pet owner. Something he wouldn't do lightly, nor overnight. So, bad vibes with me all over for a long long time already, cuz I felt it coming for so long. My best guess is, he wouldn't be able to pay his bills really now at this stage, pay them providers, looking for a job, building his life as a young dreamer. He's got my high five on that, reaching for his stars.

Perhaps that's the reason why some people are struggling with their chatboxes (as we speak and so are we). I really hope he'll be doing it all for the his own good, his own future, and, of course, in the end, for all of us... and WiLL come back some day.

I've learned a lot about him the last few yrs, the better of I won't be sharing with you for his sake and as a semi kinda friend. He's a good dude, I feel. Learned a lot about his private life and I won't be sharing none wichu guys. His secret is safe with me. In the end, I can tell he's really working on it all, going for it.

So, what does it all mean? Well, according to my 6th sense, it'll all come down to a 1 or 2 yr blackout @ Avacweb. But he'll be back one day, I'm sure. I feel, I know. Whether he 's gonna pull back on his hobby and focus entirely on his future, or hire me back again will be all up to him. He knows where he can reach me, if he needs me to have a new go at developing AWC again and accept me as his 'partner' and 'co-owner'. Oh yeah, I invested loads of time and money in his site before and all he gave me (and us) were stalls and crap. That'd need to change for the better, I wanna make sure.

Anyway. As I'm recovering from a very long and 2nd sickbed, I just wanted to get the main audience on Forumotion warned and notified on this ... He, and his work, never left my mind, my imagination. And I'm sure my wildest dreams about this crazy AWC never let him down showing his finest creating an awesome cb the best he can as a JS guru. He's as competitive with Ange like no other.

I am one of the AvacWeb staff members, so I thought I'd give all of you an update. Today, I contacted LGforum via e-mail and asked him if he would be interested in reopening AvacWeb. I will give him one month to respond. If, within that time, he does not do so, I will reconsider the direction that AvacWeb takes and look in to repurposing the AvacWeb brand.

I have not heard back from LGforum. I have e-mailed him again, but I fear he may no longer be using the only e-mail address that I have. He still has about 3 weeks remaining to respond before I begin reviewing what direction AvacWeb should go. Unfortunately, I do not have access to the founder's account, which means that there are some limitations on what I would be able to do with AvacWeb if were to take it over.

Well all I used avacweb for was awc which only lgforum has access to and access to the server its on. Unless there is a way to get awc back up on a different server, I honestly dont care what is done with it. I would say just please dont change it too much.
