Error message when trying to create personalized domain name

My forum name is: vc4cs.forumotion.net
I own the domain: www.vc4cs.com at GoDaddy
I configured vc4cs.com to redirect with masking to vc4cs.forumotion.net
Typing the url www.vc4cs.com into the browser takes me to my forum.
However, when I try to indicate that www.vc4cs.com is my personalized domain name in the Admin panel I get this error message:
"The supplied domain name is not well configured Your CNAME must redirect to : vc4cs.forumotion.net"


What have I done wrong and does it matter as long s my personalized domain name works right?

If you just added the domain, it can take up to 24-48 hours for the changes to take effect, as seen stated here:

It has now been over 3 days since I created my domain name and I get the same error message in the admin panel when I tell it my personalized domain name is www.vc4cs.com. Could masking have anything to do with this? I set up the domain redirect to include masking.

When you enter the address, remove the www.

If it is loading your forum with the correct address, why are you trying to change it.  It only will redirect if it is correct in the administration panel.

First off your links in your first post are working correctly for me.    www.vc4cs.com

www.vc4cs.com doesn't quite work properly. It won't show my favicon while vc4cs.forumotion.net does.
