Any idea how to do this on windows 8? I just got it a few months ago and still have virtually no idea how to use it... There isn't exactly a start menu... Or at least not an obvious one.
Also I finally just managed to resyncronize one of my forums as it was previously suggested I do... No effect was made I am still facing all the same problems including the chatbox one.
Re: [Only Topic] Slow Forum Loading (illiweb.com issue)
1. Press the Windows Logo+R keys together and the Run box will appear.
2. Type in cmd and hit ENTER.
3. In the CMD window that you just opened, type in following command:
4. Wait for it to flush the cache.
2. Type in cmd and hit ENTER.
3. In the CMD window that you just opened, type in following command:
- Code:
ipconfig /flushdns
4. Wait for it to flush the cache.

Thanks. I just tried it and got the message:
"Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache."
However it does not appear to have fixed anything. Forumotion loading is still extremely slow. It might be a little faster but it is still taking several minutes and I am facing the same message with the chatbox. Likewise I have noticed that when going to make a reply on any forum other than this one, the reply box is messed up. I have some screen shots to better show what I mean... These were taken from several different sites to show that it is not just localized to one.
Loading Page. Can take around 5-10 minutes to fully load. Any longer and it just doesn't seem to load at all. And if you notice it does not say it is waiting on anything in one of the bottom corners as it usually does.
The chatbox problem. As you see the box for it is there but its just a blank box... no option to connect to it or anything.
The newly discovered reply problem...
This one is with quick reply.
And this one is with regular reply.
Re: [Only Topic] Slow Forum Loading (illiweb.com issue)
Hello
Does the problem still occur?
Could you please give me your Internet Service Provider (ISP)?
While the forum is loading on the right sight on your screen you have a "pending" message? What is the url associated?
Thanks for your answer

Hi.
Yes there are still loading problems though I do believe it is faster than before. Still takes quite a while though.
I believe we have xfinity I can not be 100% sure though. Is there a way to check this from my computer?
What do you mean pending message? I haven't noticed any messages...
Re: [Only Topic] Slow Forum Loading (illiweb.com issue)
I am also experiencing these problems, it is also showing https://illiweb.com/ and waiting forever. The strange thing is that if I use a different browser it works!!! So it could be a problem with Firefox. Those experiencing problems, are you using Firefox too?
The forums I use are: gempire.hightoxic.com and gempire.darkbb.com

With mine it is showing no wait message for illiweb or otherwise. I have been using chrome though I did check in firefox earlier and was having the same problem. I just checked firefox again and the forums are loading quickly, the chatbox is back, and the reply box is normal. But its all still messed up on chrome. For me at least. The fact that it seems to run perfectly in firefox however... I am taking that as a good sign that things are improving and starting to look up. Hopefully things will work with chrome again by tonight. I don't really like firefox.

Re: [Only Topic] Slow Forum Loading (illiweb.com issue)
Managed to resolve the slowness from home & reconfigured the forum from work. Seems ok from work but not sure from home. I have pmd my regular members to let me know if the board is back to full speed.
I did deleted my history at home before I went to work.
I will confirm in 3 hours if my site is ok or not from home.
I still use IE & not changed browser just deleted the web history & switched the hub / modem off & on.
Regards
Cassini

Re: [Only Topic] Slow Forum Loading (illiweb.com issue)
Any help would be appreciated ive managed to get on my site after about 5 minutes of waiting for the lage to load .... ive deleted all cookies re synced the site but still no better...
Re: [Only Topic] Slow Forum Loading (illiweb.com issue)
Like I said before my loading problem only seems to present its self in chrome, still works with firefox... have also checked it in IE on my kindle and my nook. Loads fine there. So I am guessing its not an issue with the modem because then why would it only present in chrome...
Re: [Only Topic] Slow Forum Loading (illiweb.com issue)
I have the same problem.
however i noticed if a click a link then 'stop' in the browser the page appears... don't wait for the page to appear; at least the forum is useable for me now.

Re: [Only Topic] Slow Forum Loading (illiweb.com issue)
sometimes ive been on a forum motion forum and it can take upto 20 seconds to load, but after digging deaper it turned out to be a banned member using some form of page refresh that attacks the said website causing a longer loading time.
Re: [Only Topic] Slow Forum Loading (illiweb.com issue)
I've just logged into our forum (in hospital yesterday) to find that quite a few members had trouble logging in yesterday. No problems reported today, however, they are asking if the forum is having trouble.

Re: [Only Topic] Slow Forum Loading (illiweb.com issue)
Some of my members are having issues with this today.
The members on my forum (Gateway to Role-Play) have the ISP of Bell Canada and the text that appears when they wait for it to load says:
"En attente de illiweb.com"
Chatbox Error:

Re: [Only Topic] Slow Forum Loading (illiweb.com issue)
My forum work super fast, like all time. I visited some forums, they load fast, but then they stop loading for 2min, or more. Yes, it shows that it's waiting for illiweb.com. Fix this, I need to visit one forum that load slow. That forum had some gliches too. Yesterday I found glich, that my forum didn't use CSS, but it was theare, I clicked sumbit and all was good then.

What i dont understand is i have no trouble with pages loading on here at all ...
Re: [Only Topic] Slow Forum Loading (illiweb.com issue)
Hello
I can confirm that my forum is alright now & no complaints from other users.
It must be a server issue as some of my members have accessed my back up site with no problems with browsers or internet history.

Hello there, nomad wrote:What i dont understand is i have no trouble with pages loading on here at all ...
This forum is not on any of the same servers a the ones that have the problems.
FM's support forums are hosted on there own server and not the same as the ones we all use.
If I'm right there is lots of servers all around the world that FM use that is why only some of us have this problem and others Don't
Troubleshooting:
I would ask all members to still try the Following steps
1,
2,S-t-e-v-e- wrote:on your computers Click start run type this CMD and press enter then type this ipconfig /flushdns
Reset all Browser cache
Follow this link https://help.forumotion.com/t22597-how-to-clear-the-cache-in-firefox-internet-explore-chrome
3,
Resetting your IPS modem.
This is done by going to your Modem / Hub and turning off the power to the system this should be left for about 2 mins or more then plugged back in again and Wait for the system to re-boot this can take about 2 mins give or take.
Now you wil need to re-boot your computer.
once rebooted try again.
Running the 3 easy steps should fix your problems.
If not please leave a short post here saying the following info
URL of your site :
Your Browser :
Have followed all the steps gave above :
Where you live in the world :
Your ISP = Internet Service provider :
