Re: [Only Topic] Slow Forum Loading (illiweb.com issue)
Encountered problems on my other computer this morning, but quickly resolved by doing:
C:\> ipconfig /flushdns
followed by
stop the page loading in browser (X) then SHIFT-reload.

Re: [Only Topic] Slow Forum Loading (illiweb.com issue)
... I'm still facing loading problems though... I'll try the three steps again, however the last three times I attempted them I saw no success...
EDIT: So just ran all three steps again and once again... met with long loading. Though I have found that in most cases if I press the X button to cancel the loading, the page will come up almost immediately after. However I am still faced with the problem of the chatbox and reply boxed being messed up... The reply boxes are back to normal size so thats at least an improvement, however, they do not have any of the edit buttons on them. And the chatbox is still just hopeless...

Re: [Only Topic] Slow Forum Loading (illiweb.com issue)
Day 4,
Still the same ongoing as described. I have sent my IP address and carrier of along with the url to forum over to buttercup and am yet to hear anything back since.
A few people have written to me as to the forum not working and I left a post back at my forum as to trying to get it cleared up.
I have tried all suggested here including the modem reset. Above I see others are speaking of moving to a different host and can't blame them if issues are not resolved. So perhaps we will have to do the same which sucks because we like forumotion.

Re: [Only Topic] Slow Forum Loading (illiweb.com issue)
The name of my forum is Insurgency Wrestling Federation. It is a forummotion forum. Link has been previously posted
My Internet Service Provider is Xfinity
I am still experiencing this loading issue, despite the fact that I have done the steps posted by APE.I am thinking maybe it is an issue with my laptop, as I have tried to log onto my forum with my other laptop and it works, even using google chrome. I don't know if this is the case or whether it is a problem with forummotion.

Re: [Only Topic] Slow Forum Loading (illiweb.com issue)
It's still working fine on my end. If you can access yours, then it's fine. If one of your members can't, they need to follow the usual steps to make it work from their end. And if they're using a mobile device, they'll experience more problems by default as that in and of itself is still being worked on. I know how frustrating it can be when things go awry and how tempting it is to let go and find a replacement or some alternative. I understand well. Be patient as these guys are doing all they can to remedy this issue.RobertSF wrote:Captain Hunk wrote:Well, if it means anything, not long after writing my reply, I did clear my browser of stuff that happened in the last week. I was able to log back into mine.
Unfortunately, Captain Hunk, it doesn't mean anything. It just means that whatever routing issue there was from the forum to your computer was cleared up, perhaps permanently but perhaps temporarily. That has nothing to do with what's in your browser.
It can't be you or something at your end, not when this many people are affected.
Right now, in a chat, I have my members screaming at me because they can't load the forum. I can load it find. It responds instantly, but they can't.
I know Forumotion is one of or even the biggest forum provider, but if this doesn't clear up in a couple of days, I'm moving. I just can't afford to have all my members upset.

Re: [Only Topic] Slow Forum Loading (illiweb.com issue)
My forum doesn't work using internet explorer or google chrome. I don't have firefox so i haven't tried it to see whether or not it works
Re: [Only Topic] Slow Forum Loading (illiweb.com issue)
What is with the sluggish performance of my forum? It takes over 2 minutes for it to load, log me in, post, etc. Other members were even having troubles logging in. It has been going on for a few days now.

Taggers Gone Mad
http://www.taggersgonemad.com/
Several members have posted that the pages are taking forever to load and some are getting blank white pages. This has been going on for at least 3 days now and with the same members. They have cleared their forum cookies and their history cookies, but they are still getting the slow page loads.
Thanks in advance

I can confirm that doing this solved my issue:
Start -> Run -> CMD -> ipconfig /flushdns -> Restart Computer

Re: [Only Topic] Slow Forum Loading (illiweb.com issue)
It's an illiweb issue (again) and i can't believe people here are telling members to tinker with their pc's or update their virus scanners... connecting to my forum is like waiting for grass to grow, and the problem is definitely not at my end.
So you may notice when you try loading your forum, it says (if your using Firefox) down the bottom left corner, Connected to illiweb or waiting for illiweb .... then nothing.

Re: [Only Topic] Slow Forum Loading (illiweb.com issue)
That is what one member posted just today efbe.
These members reporting issues aren't having any problems at any other websites other than while at my forum at Taggers Gone Mad. I am not having issues, but my members are leaving because the pages will Not load for them. I believe it is the illiweb with the issues. I have to agree with efbe on this matter.

Re: [Only Topic] Slow Forum Loading (illiweb.com issue)
Just checked again. The problem is still persisting. In IE the forum wont come up at all. It just loads a blank white page. It continues to work fine in firefox. For now. And in chrome (my preferred browser) it shows its loading however I have found that if I press the X button to stop the loading, then the forum will come up automatically, and if I don't press it then it continues to show its loading and stays on the blank white page for a couple minutes... And there are still problems with the chatbox and reply boxes. These problems are there whether I cancel the loading or not.
I have already reset my modem, cleared history, cookies, and the cache, as well as tried the "Start -> Run -> CMD -> ipconfig /flushdns -> Restart Computer" solution. I have tried all of these at least once a day since this problem first occurred. They have not helped any of the times I have tried them.

Still slow for me fmreport.simplygaming.org
Has been slow for 24 hours now, mostly people in the USA having difficulty with the speed of it, seems OK for my UK users though.

Seems like its working for me pretty fast. Also is your extension forumotion.com? Not the register domain.Gerdundula wrote:Still slow for me fmreport.simplygaming.org
