Facebook Connect Questions

Hi there--

I'm running phpBB2 on my forum and decided to try to install "Facebook Connect" since we've lost so many members to groups there.  Anyway, I followed all of the instructions and I entered both my App ID and my Facebook Secret Code in the area given to activate the module and I get an error message.



What am I doing wrong?  I've searched other topics prior to posting this trying not to double post.  I apologize if I missed something somewhere.

It means that the app id code was not correct.

It was copied and pasted directly from Facebook so I know it's correct. The app previews correctly in both web and mobile.

Thank you Michael. I followed what you posted to the letter.  I entered the correct app Id and secret code from FB into the fields provided.  I toggled all of the radio buttons correctly.  And I still got an error code saying my app Id was incorrect when I copied it directly from my app's FB control panel.

could you please PM with user name can have admin panel as long with facebook account that needed to do the app if you dont mind
i will try do it for you by my self

That's a generous offer but I'm thinking you're asking me for access to my forum's Admin Panel as well as my FB account so you can do it yourself?   No offense, but no thank you. If I misunderstood what you're saying, I apologize.

sorry for make you misunderstood i have 1 last idea
make sure you press on show to show the app secert this could be the problem why its say the ID is not right
and im not asking for your forum fonder or your main facebook account
just make any new user name and let it have the rights to open the admin panel it should be fine that i could add the ID and the app secret
and about face book i will make new app in my account of the face book and test it with your forum if that okay dont send me your facebook i forget that your face book account could have block because im in Egypt and you are from place else then mine
sorry to forget that i will use one of mmy face book accounts to test that

I did press "show" for the secret app code.  And then I copied and pasted it directly to the correct box on my forum just as I did for the App ID.  Thank you for your help

Still the same error code. I give up at this point.
