Forum is acting up.. ??
I am the creator of 'Waggin Tails' - a forum created for dog lovers when we decided to branch out from a main forum not connected with forumotion.
This morning, the forum was working fine - I had done nothing to it and was simply chatting with a member when things began to get 'wonky'. The forum background began glitching, standard buttons became unclickable (buttons affecting text, text placement, youtube links, font, etc) and scripts were being displayed in the 'Quick Reply' box.My administration panel has also become inaccessible unless I go through a user profile and the co-administrator hasn't been online in days. To my knowledge, he has not given anyone access to the panel and I do appear to have the same abilities.
I have tried to resynchronise the forum, and it has appeared to do nothing. My members tell me they're not having problems.
I have not had to deal with something like this from your platform in the 3 years I've had a forum with you. I am going to try restarting my computer, however if this doesn't work I'm not sure what else to do as there is nothing visibly out of place.
Please help?

Hi,
Ok I have done that but it is no different . when I try to reply to a pm at the bottom of my page it says "contacting illiweb.com and does not get through.
The cookie bar at the bottom of the page comes back even after clicking OK.
I use windows 8 and Google Chrome browser.
Any help most appreciated!

Re: Forum is acting up.. ??
Hello, I believe the problems with replying to threads, sending PMs, starting new topics, editing posts, have to do with "illiweb" being slow. I get the message "waiting for illiweb" when I try to perform any of these functions and this has been going on most of the day. It is happening here on the Forum of the Forums as well. Therefore, I know it is not just my site (plus as you can see from the posts here, others are having the same trouble). I don't believe "re-syncing" the forum will clear this up.
I have added the "quick reply" box to my threads which I didn't have in place before so that my members don't have to wait for a window to open in order to post a reply (opening a window takes several minutes). If you preview a message before posting, this too requires a long wait.
Hopefully they will get this fixed soon.

Forum Version: Um, sorry no clue. Where would I find that to provide it for you? On the bottom of our page it says phpBB
A couple of your staff were given membership some time back to come in a look around for a problem years ago. Do you want me to send you their names?

I took a screenshot of my forum which was doing the same thing in case you still needed it but as I suspected (as posted previously), it was more than likely a temporary server problem. As of today, everything is working again on my site and hopefully others will find that their same issues have been cleared up.
Edited to add that things are working using the Firefox browser but not Internet Explorer.
