Solved Tag @member system.

Post by TheShaka December 8th 2014, 4:09 pm

Hi i have some questions about new tag system and i want change something.
I really don't like that you getting only notificaltions when someone tag you, why? Because who read all the notifications...?
so i want ask:
- Is possible to change the notification to private message? when someone tag you you get private message. Or
is possible to change the tag notification to something like friend request notification?

Tag @member system. Gfhhf10

Next problem is that that every member on the forum need go to his profile and select that he want getting notifications when he will be tagged... Its stupid i think here should be option that you don't want getting notifications when someone tag you...

Here should be only option that you don't want getting notifications when you are tagged!!
And here you must edit your profile for get the notifications! 0 logic and sense, what i have to do? message all members and every new member and tell them to change the profile for get notifications how many members will change it 20%...? its really uncomfortable...

Try searching your Preferences tab in your Profile, see if it's there.

I added this feature but noticed on a multi quote it messes the whole post.

Codes are visable, the last multi quote font changed to very small, and the avi got pushed down.

The username's are incorrect. It should be:

Right. There are no spoilers in any threads other than the Chris Soules spoiler threads. Those are the rules. We try to stay on top of that rule. Smile

Testing multi quote, the first one is messed up.

I apologize for the double posting, but I removed the @username option left the #hashtag option, multi quoted several posts and it's fine.

It appears the @username option is what messed up the post when using multi quote.

ETA: I see my earlier post is messed up. My avi was pushed down. That's what happened on my forum as well.

@Ahmed.K There is not a bug here you have to type it as follows
Code:
@"User name"
as you can see we have to add " before the username and then again after to make this work this is not a bug it was meant to be that way Wink

this is the same for your name you will have to add the 2 "" After the @ and at the end as you have a dot in your name.

I agree with you to the part where you can get a pm if you get tagged. Although for the problem after the image you describe, the tagged notification is already selected if you activate the system and you can remove it from getting any notification. As for the members information, you can make a global announcement and add [IMPORTANT] Tag System or [PLEASE READ]Tag System explaining what they have to do so members can read and understand what they have to do.

I didn't say tag him/her. Just make a Global Announcement with title [PLEASE READ ALL] New tag system (how it works;) and explain in topic how it works so they know.

Uncomfortable... man how many  of your forum members will read and follow it... 50% will read and 10% will do that. This is just uncomfortable, and maked with out thinking.
avacweb tag system was a way better, you tag @member he getting pm that he was tagget in thread thats all. no one need to edit his profile etc... but the script is gone from hosting...

Tested multi quote, it works perfectly now!

Thanks!
