automatic message on click of "thanks" problem

Hi. i followed this tutorial and it works fine but after the automatic post "thank you" the "thanks" button is still avaible to press it again. I think it should be supposed to can be pressed once and appear the "thanked" image after.

The script is to thank the author of the post, for multiple members. So, you say after one person thanked the author, no one else should thank them ?

I think he meant for one user. Ex. If I thank you, your message will appear thanked to me. But  someone else could go along and see 'thank' and still click it.

Let me know if that's what you mean.
