members post but will not appear on the forum

Wondering if you could help me please. Just setting up the forum, had members join and they tried to do a new post, but when he hits the send button it doesn't appear on the forum. Is there something I should be doing on the admin panel to allow posts to be posted if that makes sense?

Does the member get an error message when they try to post ?

I would check the permissions of the forum that they tried to post in. You can read about permissions here : https://help.forumotion.com/t138466-permissions

Erm no there's no error message, when you click preview it comes up fine above it but when you click send it does nothing at all....

Could you provide :

• The URL of your forum
  
• The browser or device these members are using to post
  

If you provide the URL I can also test.

The devise they used was a android phone via Google chrome, if that makes sense.

It appears that the post did not appear on my forum due to the fact that the person only used the topic as Hi!

Having looked again it states that the topic title needs to be a little longer, ie upto 10 characters. Having explained this via PM, the member then changed the topic title to a longer form and it then appeared on the forum.

Can this be changed do you know? or in order to make a post does the post topic have to be longer than, lets say for example Hi!

Hi, Sorry for the late reply !!

You can change the topic title length here : Administration Panel > General > Messages and Email > Configuration

Scroll to the bottom where the topic options are. You should have the option to modify the topic title length.
