How does one ...

ditch the old and uselessly not working image host on my forum(servimg.com) and install a new image host compatible with Safari & iPad ?...

This servimg.com never works on mine , I always have to upload pics from url and it won't upload anything from file on my forum  ..it doesn't work on my son's ipad either and that's an iPad air which is more modern than my iPad.

I can upload pics on many other forums from file, but the host that came with my forum is useless

I think I said before Im nowhere near savvy enough with computers and I don't think I could install a new image host provider myself...

Can anyone help me out please?

Well, you can use different image host, you don't have to use servimg, you could also use photobucket, flickr or any other image host of your choice.

just copy and paste the url in between these tags: 

Code:

[img] [/img]

That should show the image.

Can you describe your problem better? What's wrong in the uploading process?

I've done all you said dozens of times Buttercup, but it still won't let me upload from FILES...url is usualky ok, but I can't upload photos from files, even though it's correct size for forums etc...

It won't upload pics from my young lads iPad Air or laptop either

Well, I don't know about totally INSTALL a new image host, but it may be possible to remove this icon from the editor and simply leave this icon  through css or something. This would allow you to only copy and paste image links, but you would still need to use a 3rd party image host off-site and then simply copy and paste the url... however you could simply give the link to the third party on your website so others know to upload through there.

As I said, I think this can be done through css... however I don't have the css code for this and am not good enough yet to do it myself. I am sure someone else who possess this code will come along and  do give it for you.


P.s Just a FYI money offers and stuff are against the TOU, everyone here will provide the codes and stuff for free, or not post it. So paypal and stuff will never be needed or allowed here.  Just trying to keep you from getting in trouble, it is a ban without warning. :|

Do the images in the files have the image extension that can be uploaded?
