#1517 All domain names are taken!

Not sure if this is a glitch (it sure appears to be and I really hope it is)

I've spent the last month conferring with the staff, trying to decide on a domain name for our forums. Now that we've finally found one it's taken!  

.com, .net, .org and .biz versions, ALL taken, even though we verified and it seems that they aren't, the forumotion admin cp says they're all taken. 

So I tried variations. introduced a - , introduced "the", kept an acronym and added another word after it, wrote out the acronym, wrote out part of the acronym. All Taken! All variations, all terminations!

So I tried other links we'd had discussed previously.
DOZENS of other, significantly different names! ALL Taken!  
All versions, all variations, all terminations
I am stupefied 

I access them directly and they aren't sites. They're not accessible links. Either gives me 404, 500 or other errors saying how the site does not exist, server not found, etc. and so on. 

So I said "heck! I bet they even have my own name taken!" 
So I tried my own real life, personal, full name, which is a combination of my first name + my middle name + my last name. ALL TAKEN   

My first and last name might be out there on about 4-5 other people (considering I'm Romanian and our population is less than 18 million, looking through phonebook sites and facebook, maximum of 10 people sounds about right), but with my middle name in it nobody has that! Especially nobody famous enough to have his own domain name, let alone on all .net, .com, .biz and .org
How is this possible?! 

Every attempt I tried showed me all variations and terminations are taken.
I checked them with "domain checker" services, and at least 80% of them are available!

To be clear, I don't want my site's new domain to have my personal name on it. That was just for the hell of it. I even tried (as a joke) "www.puffdaddybabywipes.org" and all were taken: .net, .com, .biz, .org, all of them!

I am mortified that all variations of the domain names I tried, even impossibly ludicrous ones, including the one we finally decided on, which we've vetted as available, are all taken according to the Admin CP and I can't opt for either.

Can I catch a break here?

Edit: I intend (and am most likely) to double or even triple my traffic this month or the next. I wanted the new domain name to be ready before that.

Edit2: I am willing to share my screen through Skype to show the situation directly. We could even make up words together and they will all be taken

I thought Buttercup was off on Thursdays or Tuesdays or something... well, let's hope Monday the 13th won't be an unlucky day for my website (though I'm not superstitious at all, I have an almost OCD thing about numbers  )

also, I tried test1234thisshouldwork as domain name (to check the error's persistence) and guess what? they were all taken... .net, .com, .org and .biz

No she is here every weekday Monday-Friday unless it is a holiday or she is unwell or something. Normal business days and hours she is here .
