Foes list/ignore list name change

Hello,

I recently had a chat with my forum staff, and this time we talked about the "Friends & Foes" system.
To keep it short: in order to avoid confusion, they recommended changing the "Foes list" to something like "Ignore list". That makes the purpose of the list a lot more clear, since "Foes list" is not something you come across every day.


A member didn't like someone else's profile picture, and asked how she could have it not showing up any more. Then we told her about the "Foes list", and this discussion started.

I personally think that "Ignore list" sounds a lot better than "Foes list" too.
What do you think? And can it be changed?

There is no default option for this provided by forumotion, but this might be able to be accomplished with CSS. Though I am not 100% positive on this?

May we have a new friend & foe template? instead of using javascript to change.

Not sure, don't know about javascript, maybe javascript. I am sure there some way to do it. Just not 100% sure how and I am 100% sure there no default option given though.

For as far as I know, CSS is for style only, not for content (like text).
I was actually thinking of changing this system-wide, for all forums. The confusion is obviously not only on our forum.
I think that it's important that it's clear to people what that specific list does, because it's quite an useful option.

So people do not understand that friend list is for friends, and foe list is for ignoring certain members?  Also the foe list will not ignore everything by the members on the list.

You can always create a tutorial on your forum that explains both lists.

I'm not implying people are stupid. "Foe" is just not as commonly used as "Ignore".
Calling it an "Ignore list" makes it a lot more clear. "Foe" sounds more like it's something symbolic.
