Solved Weird Topic Issue

Post by SLGray June 18th 2015, 4:13 am

Could someone check the administration panel to see if some posts were deleted from this topic:  https://help.forumotion.com/t141200-notification-in-tools-bar-is-faulty#961846 ?  It looks like I started the topic.

@Buttercup I'm assuming someone created a topic, SLGray replied, the author deleted their account*, and now their posts are gone which makes SLGray appear to be the topic author. If you check, the author of the topic is guest. Wink

*I know normal deletion doesn't do that, was the user spam banned ? Weird Topic Issue Whistle

I understand right now... Actually it is my fault. I've spammed ban the member by mistake because some of his messages were on the spam garbage. When we spam ban a member, the second poster (in that case you SLGray) becomes the topic author Razz

It might be best to only go by the list of reported in the spambot topic as opposed to who appears in the spam garbage.
