How do I reposition topics in a forum?

In saw a post on this . But my question is different . Is there a way to reposition the topics in a forum . For instance if I wanted to have particular topics that are located farther down to be in the top group of scrolling topics or even the top topics in stationary " news " widget . How do I rearrange them ? Like when you moderate a forum you can move certain topics to a different forum . Is that the general Idea ? Make a new forum with the topics preferred on top ?

AP > General > Forum > Categories & Forum
When you create a new forum or modify an old one, there is a option for arranging topics in a forum.

Hello,

You could also just make the topics a sticky, announcement or global announcement. These will stay to the top, no matter what then.

Hmm . I might try that too . What I said about moderating and moving the topics to a new forum , in the exact order I wanted them in . Worked very well .
