Email address change

I can't figure out how to change my email address in the profile section. All I see is how to change password. Please help. Make it simple please.

Try this: Go to your Administration Panel >> Users & Group >> Users Options >> User Settings >> Allow users to change their e-mail address : Yes >> then save it.

You can also change yours and other users' email addresses in their profiles via the acp (admin panel). You can do this by going to ACP (admin panel)-->Users and groups-->Search users-->Click the user you want to change the email address of.

I've tried to change it in both places. I am not given the option, only the option to change user name. I'm frustrated and don't understand this. Hope you have other suggestions.

Hmm... That doesn't make anysense. May you provide a screenshot of both the profile fileds area and the one in the acp for us?

Are you pressing the profile link in the navigation menu or pressing your username?

The profile link is where I'm having the problem. It gives me the option to change my user name, but not the email address.

Yeah, I just checked on my profile on my forum, it does not let me change my email address in my profile, however, I can still do it in the admin panel.
May you provide a SCREENSHOT of the profile in the admin panel so I can see why it may not be working.

Actually not really, I can not see the profile field box itself, all copying and pasting does is copy the info already there. It doesn't help me understand why it isnt changing for you. For example if you get any error messages, a screenehot would show me this whereas copying and pasting wouldnt.

Brandon, thank you for your help. I figured out how to do it FINALLY.
I didn't want to provide a screenshot because it would have shown my email address and I have been reprimanded for accidentally posting it previously.

In the screenshot, if you go in paint, just blank it out or cover it. You could also put it in 'hide' tags (
