Not sure where to put this trolls have bought our .com name.

Hi I am from www.clooneyaficionados.org. Charley normally posts here and does the tech side of things. But she has an internet problem at the moment. I am one of the admins of Clooney Aficionados. We have a problem hopefully you can help us. Our domain name clooneyaficionados.com has been bought by trolls and they are using it to get traffic to their site Kentucky Stars. This site has NOTHING to do with us. As soon as you get there you realise that. Can you tell me if there is anything I can do. It is fraud it isn't our link and is being used by someone else. There board is basically trolls trashing people and it is something we don't want our name associated with.

Let me see if I understand this correctly, someone bought a domain name and linked it to re direct to your forum or they bought a domain similar to yours and linked it? Was the domain purchased via Forumotion or another registerer? Is the forum it re directs to a forumotion forum?

They bought clooneyaficionados.com. We are clooneyaficionados.org. And they are saying that their link will take you to OUR forum which is through forum motion but it doesn't it takes you to their board Kentucky Stars. I'm not sure if it is a forum motion board. The people who run Kentucky Stars are well known trolls who love to cause trouble and their site is basically them talking to themselves using different nicks and bullying anyone who disagrees or calls them out on anything. I don't want us associated with that site it really could damage us if people think we are them. We have worked very hard on our forum and we have banned these trolls from our board. I have tweeted to let people know and put up a thread and an announcement to try and stop people being fooled. Is there anything we can do? If you type in www.clooneyaficionados.com it will take you http://kentuckystars.com/index/ Hopefully I have explained it better this time I hope so.

The clooneyaficiondos.com takes you to Kentucky Stars which has been created through zetaboards.

Unfortunately, we don't have any power on clooneyaficiondos.com domain name. This domain name has been bought by someone else on an other service
You have the .org and they've the .com and even if the domain name is the same, the extension is different...

Is there anything I can do because they are using it to make people they are coming to our site when in fact they are taking them to their own? Or just keep posting on twitter etc that we are still .org and please ignore the other?

The best solution is to report the problem to zetaboards service. Because we don't have any power on this forum and this domain name...
