Question regarding the reputation system
Hello. Hope this is the right section for this.
I have a question regarding this tutorial https://help.forumotion.com/t142870-improve-the-reputation-system-so-it-counts-votes
I just wanted to ask that if there is any way to edit the code, in order to make the names of posters who have liked/disliked the post visible? So basically instead of 'amount of people that have liked this post', I want to have 'poster x, poster y' have liked this post.
If that's not possible, is there any other reputation system which has that sort of feature?
Thanks

Re: Question regarding the reputation system
Hi @Syndicate,
No, unfortunately this is not possible unless you have an external database which stores the users who liked a post.

I see. Thanks for the reply.
I suppose you can close the topic in that case.

I'll look into it, but it doesn't seem that efficient. Thanks for that though.
Re: Question regarding the reputation system
There is also this one, whoever I am not sure if it is the same as your looking for: http://www.avacweb.com/t195-9-a-new-like-vote-system there are quite a few codes that were privately developed that can accomplish something like this. There is (I believe) one other code that was developed so the like system could work on phpbb2 forums, however, if the forum is phpbb3, I would suggest either of the 2 codes mentioned so far in this topic.

and yes, it is not very efficient for large communities. The method you have to use to achieve the result is hackish, and leaves you with permission-oriented problems. I discontinued work on the project awhile back, so I'd recommend not installing it. If you happen to get a database that's external and someone with knowledge in the DB language + PHP you should be able to come up with a better result.
It reminds me that I now need to clean up that forum..
