HTML problem
I just created a new forum,. I selected allow HTML as no on the admin panel but when i tried to make a thread as a user from my friend's id, it's still showing HTML tags. I do not want them to show.I want users to make post without using HTML.

Re: HTML problem
Hello,
Turning html off will just make it so html doesn't work when posted, it will NOT prevent any tags users post from showing up. You will just have to edit the post, remove the tags and let your users know not to use html tags in their posts. Let them know also if they want to have anything fancy show, such as bold or color they can do so using bbcodes.

Re: HTML problem
Here when i wrote hello, selected it and clicked on Bold, these <b></b> tags came on their own, same happened with the size thing....is there no way that we can write without seeing these html tags as it is very annoying and i know for sure users will not gonna like this, even if i find it annoying(atleast i know what they are but most of the people didn't even know about html)

Re: HTML problem
What you show is NOT html, it is bbcode. There is a difference (see how one has a [ bracket the other has a < bracket?), either way if you wish for this not to appear by default in the editor, you should activate WYSIWYG mode as the default mode via the admin panel. This can be done in ACP(Admin Control Panel) > General > Messages and e-mails > Configuration > Messages > Activate the WYSIWYG mode by default in the posts :. Set this to yes and click save.
Hope this helps,
