Problem Changing Founder

The current founder is changing me to be the founder. She changed the email and the password, and I was able to log into the founder tools page. But even though we did all of those steps, the founder hasn't been changed. Did I forget to do something or there's something else that I have to do?

Hello,
What do you mean 'the founder hasn't changed'? Do you mean that the founder account on the actual forum still remains the same? If so, then thats because the actual founder account can not be transferred to a different account. What I mean is, u1 on a forum is always is the founder, this can not be changed, in order to get the forum founder account, you will need to take over the original founders account, meaning he will have to change his email and password on the site as well, then you log in using that account.

Yeah the current founder is still founder. I just thought you could be able to change the founder itself. So the only way I can be the founder is by using her account? That kinda stinks though because she doesn't want to be an admin anymore.

Yes that is correct, the only way to be founder is to use the founder account. Now once you take over as Founder and the account becomes yours, you can always change the username and stuff like to be personalized. Wink
