Forum locked? Seen Caihlem's post on unlocking.

Hey, guys. Thanks for reading this far.

I tried pm'ing Caihlem after reading her topic on the subject (double checked all her suggestions and everything seems fine), but I didn't have enough posts to pm her. I figured posting this topic would kill two birds so to speak. I'm not even 100% sure the forum is locked because I was able to register an account to my forum perfectly fine and it seems like I have permission to post as the test account. So I'm not sure why the "Forum is locked" icon is in color down at the bottom of the homepage. I'm guessing I'm just confused about something, but would like a little guidance just to be sure. Any and all help anyone could provide is much appreciated.

1st of all, I just want to say pming Caihlem is not a good idea, as he/she is inactive and no longer comes on the support forum anymore.

2nd. The post limit to send a pm is 1, you can now send pms.

3rd: Your forum is not locked, the icon that says 'Forum is locked' is just to let users who come on your site know what icon represents locked forums, locked forums meaning forums that are locked for regular users, they can not post in them, however, a moderator or admin can. It is very similar to our archives here on the support forum and our garbage section, you can view the topics there, but you can not post in any of them or create a new topic.

That is all this means, your forum is not locked, so don't worry .

The PM system is locked out until you make one post in the forum (that you have done already) so now the PM system is now open to you

Still working on it, not sure if it will ever be done, but I like what I've got so far. Unsure of as to what exact direction I'd like to take with it currently, but I have some ideas. Any and all feedback is welcome and appreciated!

Also yes, self advertising is against the rules and very much frowned upon, so I would recommend not doing so . You can only advertise your forum in our advertising section, you can provide us your forum link in support topics for support purposes ONLY though .

I would suggest giving our a rules a read so that you know completely the dos and donts of the support forum, you can find the link to the rules in my signature (click general rules).
