Re: how can i close my forum for maintenance
Hello,
You can do this by going to ACP-->General-->Configuration--~>Scroll down until you see 'forum in contruction?', tick this to yes then select the amount of days you need the forum closed for (can only be up to 7 before you will have manually re close it again).
Hope this helps,
-Brandon

Re: how can i close my forum for maintenance
I think he wants to know how to create a HTML maintanance page...
Its simple, just make a HTML page, title it h2-maintenance or whatever, and make yourself a nice maintenance page in ACP > Modules > HTML & JavaScript > HTML pages management. Save the HTML page
Then, when you want to put the forum into maintenance simply go to: ACP > General > Configuration > Forum in construction, then in the little box that allows you to add a message, put a javascript redirect to the maintenance page. If your an admin, you don't see that message, therefore don't get redirected.
Here's a Javascript redirect:
Don't forget to save your settings!
Next, to be able to login to your site as an admin, use the URL <yoursiteaddress>/login to be able to login.
