not allowed to introduce myself

Hi am a new member i have been trying to follow the rules and introduce myself but im not allowed ? it seems i cant post in any of the sections i need to so i am sorry if this post is in the wrong place ,

i have recently opened a new forum

my plan is to get the new forum up and running before i move my members over, from the present one, as i am having issues with the support forum which means little or no support , my present forum is phpbb2 and is very difficult to edit or make any changes to , so i am moving my members , the phpbb3 is much easier to work with i have not needed any help but i would really love to request a banner for the new forum . The problem is im not very tech savvy so even the request forum baffles me , also i didn't want to request anything without introducing my self first

As for where you can introduce yourself, we have a thread where you and all new members can introduce yourselves, here is the topic: https://help.forumotion.com/t146759p120-members-introduction .

As for the issues you are having setting up your forum, what exactly are they? May you explain them in as much detail as you can.

We all do our best to help all users with as many issues as we can, however, keep in mind that all staff here other then The Godfather, are all volunteers and arent paid for what we do, we do this in a spare time and have lives outside of here, so if you dont get an answer right away, just be patient and one of us will get to it as soon as we can .

Once again, welcome and we wish you luck in starting your forum and if you need help with any issue, just start a support topic and we will do our best to help you .

well that's a massive relief i was expecting to put on moderation given a warning be banned , seems much friendlier on here , i will introduce myself properly in the correct place , to be honest im not having any issues with setting up this forum , its all much easier on the bb3 , but my previous host always made out that the bb3 forums where much more difficult to run , so i steered clear of them , the thing im confused about the banner image sizes to fill out the graphics request form , and the color options box im not sure what to put in those .


im sorry if i seem a bit simple im a little bit older and computers are not my thing at all but i have a good bunch of members relying me to sort this out
i fully understand how busy you all are so thank you for your time

Thats alright about the image size then, if you dont have specific sizes and numbers you want the graphic to be, then you could just either put a general thing or just put 'Use your best discretion' and say your not very familar with sizes and stuff, thats what I used to do when I made graphic requests here, the graphic team doesnt usually mind.

Yeah new members cant post new topics in the general discussion section until they reach a certain number of posts (I think it is 60 or somewhere around there). All members regardless of how new and regardless of their post count, can post a reply to a topic thats already there though.

The same thing applies in the announcements, tutorials and important points areas as well, however, those dont rely on post counts, no matter the post count, regular members cant post new topics and cant reply to topics in the tutorial area, you can reply to topics in the announcements area though.

I hope this provides better clarity on why you get that message if you try to post a new topic or anything in one of those areas?

Ok, since this wasnt really a support issue in the sense that you didnt need help with anything on your forum and therefore wouldnt really help anyone who may search the archives, I am going this to the garbage for this reason.
