New Member cannot reply to topics
I have a new member that joined our forum recently. She was able to post a message on one of the threads, but cannot reply to topics on another. It gives her the message "PERMISSIONS IN THIS FORUM:You cannot reply to topics in this forum" I checked my user settings and I can't find anything wrong. All members should have permission to respond to topics. Another member and I were talking yesterday afternoon with no issues. I also checked the inactive members list just to be certain she had been activated properly since, for some reason, I never received an activation email for her when she signed up. I simply can't figure out why she can't respond. Is there another setting I'm missing??

Hello,
Can you confirm that the settings in the acp (admin panel) in ACP-->General-->Categories and forums--> Click the (modify) icon next to the section and under permissions, can you confirm that the 'Can write and reply' is ticked for 'Members' in the section the user is having the issues in?
What is the url to your forum as well?
Also is the user the only member having a problem posting in that section or are other members having issues as well?

Yes it's checked. And from what I can tell she is the only member that's having difficulty. No one else had said anything thus far. I cannot for the life of me figure out why she can't reply.

Not as far as I know. It's a role play forum. She was trying to respond the thread we use for the actual role play.
Re: New Member cannot reply to topics
Could you please post a screenshot of the permissions page for that section in the administration panel?

There was a message from her this morning. She says it fixed itself somehow. She's now able to post. Still no idea what was preventing her from posting.
