Category in Tabs question for phpbb2

First topic message reminder :

Hi Forumotioners, I have installed this succesfully on my testforum phpbb2 a while ago from tis topic which is in the Tips & tricks section:

Now I've tried to install this at my official forum, also phpbb2, but it won't work as it's supposed to.
when I activate the script it shows the tabs correctly but it also stretches the page and pushes the rigth side widgets off the screen for the most part and gives me a horizontal scrollbar at the bottom of the page..

Both forums are phpbb2 and have exactly the same skin, I don't know why this happens or what I can do to make this right.. 
I would love to have this on my official forum because we have so much forums, it would be so helpful to tidy the place up with this awesome script.
For now I have disabled it again because the page looks ugly with that scrollbar and widgets out of sight.

Any help would be much appreciated

I just noticed that for the last 4 tabs the content of the tabs isn't displayed too @SLGray

Are you using one on the support forum or the one on FM Design?  If you are using the one on FM Design, did you remove the modifications from the templates?

I'm not sure which one @SLGray I can't check it here because the topic now has only acces to members who are granted special rights..

What modifications are you refering to?

The one on the support forum, required modification of a template. Also there were no JavaScript.

Then I believe I used the one from FM Design, because I used it with a javascript only..

Ok. so you did not add any CSS or modify a template?

Not for this @SLGray I only used 1 javascript which had a bit css included, the one I showed earlier in this thread ..

Have you tried changing the widgets?  I mean move the ones on the left to the right side and right side to the left side?

Yes I already tried that before @SLGray with no succes

That's correct @skouliki because I re-activated the javascript again to show what I meant, on my testforum there are just a few categories which do not exceed the forumwidth limits that's why everything looks okay overthere.. but on my offical forum there are more tabs than the width allows, so the page stretched out because the scrollable arrows of the script aren't working..

The topic starter is referring to a scrollbar on the tabs, not the forum.

Maybe another java is causing conflict issues with the category tab java ...
If your java are not many you can try to deactive one by one to see if anyone is causing the problem

Thank you very much @skouliki I will certainly give that a try, when SLGray is logged out of the site again, he is trying to see what goes on through an admin account..

I am going to logged off so you can test it.  I can not locate the issue.

You very welcome ..if the code is running ok on the test forum something in your original is causing this ...i had similar issues and the problem was always a past version java or conflicts between them

I do see some errors in JavaScripts when I inspect your forum.  Most have to do with deprecated codes.

How will I know which are deprecated @SLGray so I can remove or update them?

Right-click any place on your forum and click inspect element.  Then pick the console tab.

The second one is solved but the first one is from an rss feed I have in a widget..

Yes thank you very much @SLGray I found it, it was the link to my favicon..
Tomorrow evening I will try to disable all javascripts but this one to see if it will work then, and then one by one enable the others..
I'll report back with the result when I'm done..

Well I had disabled all javascripts, enabled only the Category Tabs script, but it made no difference, the scrolling arrows are still not there and the page still got stretched over the width limits and pushed the rightside widgets almost out of view..
One thing, now it did showed the content of the last 4 tabs, yesterday it didn't, so I guess the fault must be with a javascript.. I didn't tested that, because it also didn't display correctly with all javascripts off, so I see no point in figuring out which js conflicts with it, without the scrolling arrows and the tabs staying within width limits I can't use it.. So I disabled the script, and enabled all others again..

I think I must let go of my wish to use this @SLGray and @skouliki I thank you both very much for the help and your time..
Or do you kind people still have another idea for me to try ?
