Templates for heavily modified forums |
Dear members. You may have noticed that on the support forum in the login tools we have a new "Topic it Easy connect" button. Now if you have turned on the "Topic it" system in your forum then this should be already installed on your forum BUT If you have made lots of changes to your templates then this may not be showing just yet!! So you may need to add some new codes to your templates. ACP Display tab Templates Here are the changes needed : phpBB 2, phpBB3 & ModernBB

Re: Discover Topic'it : the mobile app of your forum !
Thank you very much for this new feature Forumotion Team
I have 2 questions, I as a founder and Admin of our Dutch forum don't have such a mobile phone, I still do everything through my pc, so do I still need to register and follow these steps to be able to make this feature available for our members that do have such phones?
And if yes, is this feature then already available for the Dutch actieforum forums?
Kind regards,
Tonny

Hello Tonny,
Yes, even if you do not have a smartphone you can invite your forum users who has one (or a tablet) to install the application and use it. You have everything to gain.
As regards the languages supported by Topic'it:
You can find all the details on the official Topic'it website > https://topicit.net

Re: Discover Topic'it : the mobile app of your forum !
Any way to completely disable this new "enhancement"?
Even though I have not opted in to the "Topic'It" functionality, it seems as though changes have been made to the forum formatting such that native browsing with an iPhone or iPad w/o the Topic'It App is no longer very functional.

Not sure if this is the right thread to discuss this, but we're having the same issue at our forum. Several people are complaining that the formatting is screwed up on mobile now. Any way to circumvent this? Not everyone wants the app.
Also at my forum we pay a yearly fee to have ads disabled - is there any way to disable to "Topic'It" ad? We want zero ads, that's why we're paying money. If there's somewhere else to direct this query please point the way. Thanks!

Sorry right now the banner for "topic it" don't have a setting to remove it in your ACP
I also have the same problem on one of my sites messing it up unless you use the topic it app then it's fine.

Re: Discover Topic'it : the mobile app of your forum !
One of my members is also reporting problems, saying that the floating navbar keeps sticking and breaking up his page when he scrolls up and down.
I've deactivated TopicIT but he's still getting problems now.
