Re: Members posts not showing
Hello,
Some usernames and emails are blocked because the system recognizes them as spammers. This does not only applies to your forum, but to all Forumotion forums.
Ask the users to try registering with another email address and/or another username. If they try with several emails/usernames you may have blocked those in ACP(Admin Control Panel) > General > Censoring > Username censoring > Users Censoring > Users Censoring.
Greetings.

Ignore the topic title i was in the middle of righting a post when i realised it wasn't the problem and forgot to change it.
The name im trying to register is Steve and the email address works ok if i try a different user name.
Ive also tried changing the Admin name to Steve but it just keeps going back to admin?

Re: Members posts not showing
I have any problems with changing my username to Steve.
Maybe you have it censored on ACP => General => Censoring => Username censoring?

Re: Members posts not showing
Hello,
You could also try going to ACP (Admin panel)-->General-->Security-->Dis allow usernames with the most commonly used usernames--> Tick to no and save. This should lower the critieria that our spam system follows to the bare basic spam list. It makes it less likely you will get the above error when people register. It may still happen, but it lowers the chance of it happening.
As for the not allowing the username to change, that is odd as usually the spam system does not prevent admins from manually changing users, to anything even ones in the spam system. It seems odd it won't all you to change it.

Re: Members posts not showing
I know how to change the user name.
I can change the Admin username to Steve and it works ok, I then change it back to Admin and try to register the user name Steve again but it still says its in use even through i know its not.

Re: Members posts not showing
By renaming the member as Steve, and then changing it, it's like you're saying the forum I am Steve but I changed my name, so the name Steve is held for Admin. If you register as Stevenn and then change it via Admin Panel, I think you'd be just fine!
