{Only Topic} Inappropriate ads (April 2018)
Hi everyone,
we had a similar problem last month, as several inappropriate ads were showing up in our forum.
I have read the corresponding thread and saw that is was an issue concerning the ad provider. Anyway, the problem was solved for our forum also.
However, similar ads are reappearing the last few days. Is there a chance we have the same issue we had in March?
What info do you need to remove them?
Doesn't asking our members to click an ad, in order to provide the link, make their devices susceptible to viruses?
Thanks in advance,
Silvering

Can you please provide or ask your member to provide the following info:
We know it can be hard to get this info, but it is nessecary to identify which ad provider and stuff the problem is through.
- Code:
[b]- Url of your forum[/b]
[b]- Ads displayed on PC, on tablet, on mobile:
- Image location (copy and then past here)

Thank you!
I already posted an announcement asking for the aforementioned info.
I'm still a little worried whether the last step is safe or not though.

You should be able to copy the link to the ad without clicking. Just right click and hit copy link or something like that. That will copy the link without actually opening the page.
All the forumotion asked for is crucial for our techs to find which ad provider and ad are the problem, so that we can get them taken down. Without that info, it becomes incredibily hard to find the specific problem provider and ad.
