Servimg wants me to sign in to upload a pic
I noticed this week that if I want to post a photo using the 'host an image' button, I sometimes I have to sign in with Servimg and sometimes I don't. I never had to do this before. Will this affect any members trying to upload a pic? Thanks.

Not sure why it would ask you to log in now and then but it will not have any problem with your members as each member has their own account when they make an account on your forum.

As the founder, an account is set up when you create a forum. It is only for the founder, not the members. Each members has one.

Yes, now it asks me every time I try to upload that first photo on a post (after initially logging in).

I didn't realize this until a family member called and asked me if I signed up an account for her. This is the only email she got from them:
I can see where this might confuse a new member. In any other photo hosting site, you read about it, consider if you want it, if it's really free or has a cost, etc, and have some sort of consent.
Or the new member may get spooked and not make a post or upload a photo, and not return. I had reached out to dog artist to join my forum, and she did, but then she didn't upload any of her animal art photos, and I'm wondering if that's the reason why.
Or say for another example the new member didn't think anything of it when they uploaded their first photo, and then later gets an email that looks like this below.
"Board? What board?", they may wonder, not realizing the 'board' is the Artsy Fartsy Dog Forum they joined. Then they may think it was junk or someone signed them up for something that they didn't ask for. And they put in their junk or spam folder.
I need to remedy this. The answer might be right here in this FM screenshot where I could add a message like FM has, that says something like:
Please click the 'Host an image' button to upload your photo. Pics are hosted free at Servimg.com. You will receive only one email from them. Thank you.
How do I do this?
Thanks!

Re: Servimg wants me to sign in to upload a pic
A board is another word for a forum. It automatically signs them up because it has to store the picture they upload somewhere. Of course you don't have to use the account and can upload to another host if you choose to.

You could create a topic about uploading images where everyone can see it. or you can place it in a widget, the homepage message, or in an announcement.
