Avatar file size

Hello,

I would like to know if it is possible to change the file size of an avatar?
I don't mean de pixels, but file size (kb).

And if this is possible, how dow I change this?

what type is the file?

I'ts a GIF file.

I don't mean to change the file size of the avatar, but what is allowed on the forum.
It's a paint shop forum, so lot's of animations, also in the avatar, but now it's not possible to use these avatars (only very small file size avatars)

Having big avatars is bad for your website's loading speed. Nonetheless, I think you can use bigger files by uploading them on another host(imgur for example) and than using the upload from url field. I'm not too sure though

Thank you, but that used to be posible; since a few months it isn't anymore.

No sorry there is no way on our system to change the size of the file.
