Description of problem

How can I change how large the file size can be for the avatars on my site?

I believe that 64KB is the default file size for all Forumotion forums (including this forum) so your only way to bypass the file size would be to upload the avatar you would like to use onto an image hosting site (such as imgur or tinypic) and then use the URL in the Avatar URL field.

Another thing you can try is using an Image Size Compressor (such as TinyPNG for PNG files or Compress JPEG for JPEG/JPG files).
