Description of problem
When you start a new forum using the ModernBB theme (I assume it would be the same for any version though) the default header img is an svg file to allow it to scale... when I try to upload my own svg file (made in Illustrator) it says the file type is not supported. How does one get a vector img uploaded to ensure cross platform scaling... or is there another way?Last edited by TasV on January 1st 2019, 4:39 am; edited 1 time in total

Re: Uploading svg files
Hello,
Are you uploading the images to servimg or another imagehost?

Re: Uploading svg files
If you are editing the image, you can save it as a png file.

Re: Uploading svg files
I was uploading using the servimg popup in Pics Management. I'm trying to upload my own svg file so it scales between platforms as the default one does. PNG files don't scale do they?

Re: Uploading svg files
I'm assuming the only way to do it is via a third party host... if I can find one that will host svg files... maybe use Github???

Try uploading it from a topic on your forum.

Re: Uploading svg files
Ok.. will try it now.. though the servimg website doesn't list svg files as an allowable extension.

Exactly the default image is not hosted on Servimg.

Re: Uploading svg files
It's ok... I understand that svg files are basically text files and so can have malicious code in them... so can't be uploaded.. will just have to think of a work around... I will see if I can get some webs space to host it remotely.

Re: Uploading svg files
There should be host sites that allow svg files.

Re: Uploading svg files
Ok.. worked it out... I needed some webspace anyway so just used that as a host.
