Activate an account manually?
Okay. Every once in a while, I have to manually activate someone's account. I'm trying to do that right now. I know how to activate someone's account. I just go to the ACP > Users & Groups > Inactive Users > New Users. Then I just check the box next to the person's user name and click activate to activate the person's account manually. What do I do if someone's account doesn't show up there? The only place that their account shows up is under "Users with no messages". How do I activate that person's account for them?

If the members name is under Users with no messages then the account is already activated by the member them self they just have not logged in and made a post.

The member that I'm trying to help, they contacted me on another forum that we're both members on. This is what they told me....
"I tried to sign up under the name LittleApple. When I went to confirm the email and clicked the link I got "sorry, no such user exists" on site."
Re: Activate an account manually?
Do This:
AP > Users & Groups > Users > Search Users
Enter the username.
If it is found, click on it,
Scroll down the page and activate the account.
AP > Users & Groups > Users > Search Users
Enter the username.
If it is found, click on it,
Scroll down the page and activate the account.

Re: Activate an account manually?
I did what you said until the last part. It already shows that account it active.
Re: Activate an account manually?
What leads you to believe its inactive then?

After I posted this message, I contacted the member to ask them if they were able to log it since it appears their account is active. They tried logging in and have been successful. They came to the conclusion that maybe there was just a delay when you go to click on the link in the activation e-mail.
Sorry to bother you.
Thank you for your help also.
