Forum acting very weird
My site: https://bleachstory.forumotion.com/
Anyways, regarding the problem I face:
The first post in some topics has been completed changed, some even removed, in which the first post had been replaced by something totally different. For example:
Let's say there is an introduction topic where a new user introduces himself. Basically, the first post in that topic would be replaced by either an ad (and ad that had been posted in a topic in the advertising and affiliating section) or some other content in a different topic. So, like, the content of the introduction post would be gone and instead, it would display content from a different topic.
Also, let' say a member made an edit to the main post in a topic they have made. Basically, the latest edit they made to said post in the topic has disappeared. Instead, the post displays the old version of the content - the version before the edit.
---------------------------------------------------------
I mean, like, how are these changes even possible? Is something wrong with the forums database/backup? I haven't pulled a backup at all.
So, I don't understand how these things could happen...especially, the old version of the main post in a topic displaying instead of the newest edit that had been made.

let me see if anyone has reported this globally
edit : @udarsha45
the techs said that there are no reports about any bug like this
so did you change or modify anything to your forum ?
did you try to clear browser cache or navigate with another browser to check if the issue is persists?

Are the authors of the first posts exactly members oe spammers? Spammers sometimes will post a normal post and then come back and edit them,

@SLGray they are members who have been in the forum for more than 1 year. Even one of my topics were affected by this.
Is it possible that the site was hacked? But, I do think a hacker would done more than mess with a few topics.
Or could a backup be forcibly done due to a glitch or something?

Re: Forum acting very weird
Did it.
Though, im not sure what it would do.
Also, i really would like to know why such a thing happened, and is there a possibility of the thing happening again...

So does this topic have the issue: https://bleachstory.forumotion.com/t10348-hi-hi-hi ? It looks normal to me.
P.S. Wht do you have 2 toolbars at the top? They both contain the same items.

Re: Forum acting very weird
@SLGray No. Topics that had the issue were 2-3 weeks old that were in the new applications section under the character creation category.
I said introudction section in the first post just taking an example. The issue didn't occur in the introduction section but the character creation section.
-----------------------
Honestly, members prefer both of them, tbh

Re: Forum acting very weird
We need to see topic's that have still got the problem so we can run some tests on our side.
When the topic has been changed we can't see the problem any more and our tests would not show anything up as you have already fixed it.
Is there any other posts that have the problem live right now ?

@APE is there any way to expedite this? Sorry if I sound impatient but it has already been more than a month...
Re: Forum acting very weird
The ticket now has the done icon. The last reply form the head office says they can not locate any issues on your forum. They said that it could have been related to issues that we had with servers awhile ago.
