daily (or otherwise) digest
Is it possible to receive a daily digest of postings to a forum being watched?
Re: daily (or otherwise) digest
I'm thinking more of an option enabled by a user whereby instead of receiving 10 emails throughout the day regarding posts to a watched forum, he/she would receive one regarding all of them.skouliki wrote:we have the newsletters

Its not every day if you read the whole thread i posted you will see its very close to what you want

You are refering to the "popular contents" newsletter? From the thread:skouliki wrote:Its not every day if you read the whole thread i posted you will see its very close to what you want
1)
->I don't want want an algorithm selects. I want *every* post in a forum but emailed once daily. The selected topics are selected according to an algorithm taking into account in particular the answers brought and the contents of the messages. They are selected only from forums that are readable by guests. The events, announcements and publications displayed are the three most recent in each category.
-> None of my forums are readable by guests.
2)
-> I need it once per day, or a user selectable interval. The frequency of sending this automatic newsletter is about one email every two weeks,
3)
Nothing has been selected after several days. Doesn't work for me.If during one of the periods of 15 days the forum has not accumulated enough activity for an automatic newsletter to be filled, no mail will be sent.
What am I missing?

Do your members exactly want a daily email that contains every topic? This seems weird. Are you exactly referring to every topic?

Re: daily (or otherwise) digest
Suppose there are 15 topic postings in a day. It would result in 15 emails indicating a topic postings. Some days there are 0. Better 1 email/day.SLGray wrote:Do your members exactly want a daily email that contains every topic? This seems weird. Are you exactly referring to every topic?

Hello, No sadly this is not available on our platform.
to do this you would need server access and sadly we don't give this to anyone.
As I see it I think it could be something good to have if you don't want 100's of emails a day every day when watching a forum or a thread but sadly it would only slow things down on our servers if it was to hold this kind of data to place in just one email.
It could also be a really hard thing to do as you would need data saved until the end of the day or a set time the member would pick in the profile settings of each member.
So sadly this is a NO right now.... Sorry
