Post as another user if you're the administrator of the forum?
Hello, i'm creating a forum for an seminar weekend. Got a few presenters who sent me their videos and want to upload them as Admin, but i would like it to appear that it is they, who uploded them. They are already registerd users in the forum. Is this possible? To create a post with another person's user, if you' the administrator of the forum?

If they publish in the forum they will do it with the name they have chosen, if you want them to do it as administrators you must put them in that group from your administration panel
Re: Post as another user if you're the administrator of the forum?
I think you misunderstood. It is i who am doing the posts and want the posts to appear as if it was done by then. The posts are the videos of their presentations and i dont want it to appear that they were published by Admin
Re: Post as another user if you're the administrator of the forum?
What do you mean by upload? If you want to have a video, you will need to upload it to Youtube or any other video upload site and post it on your forum.
The upload option on our forums are for attachments which can be downloaded.
For your question in the first post, it is not possible.

You can't post as someone else you can only post as your own account.
So to put it Blunt NO you can't do that sorry.

Like I said, since your members will have to upload the videos somewhere else and then post then on your forum, they would not need your help posting them.

Re: Post as another user if you're the administrator of the forum?
Lots of misunderstanding today i see. You probably never organized something similar. Took the word upload and made a thing out of it. To put it blunt a simple NO would do. Furthermore this is something other forums do, so maybe you should look it up a little bit instead of treating it as something strange.
Re: Post as another user if you're the administrator of the forum?
hello
if you want to post from an existing account you cant, imagine what conflict will be creating something like this, spammers could ruin the forum
now another option you can do is create another account with the same IP doesn't matter and use that account or your admin account depending on what you want to post
in my forum I also have a bot account as a test account when I try some things

Re: Post as another user if you're the administrator of the forum?
Thank you but this is not what is required here. For my personal needs i already have a second account. But here i am hosting others whose work i need to present with their name. As i said this already feasible in other forums
Re: Post as another user if you're the administrator of the forum?
For what is worth, i did a workaround. Asked them to post a good morning and then edited their messages as Admin to put up their videos. Served its purpose.
Re: Post as another user if you're the administrator of the forum?
Why can they not post it themselves?
Exactly I have not seen this in other forum platforms.

This is possible only in the PhpBB forumsoftware.
On the Forumotion service not possible as a another member only with a other account with username/password on your forum.
Maybe can you suggest this here in this section.

Why? Is it morally correct to be able to correct their messages as admin? Give me a break guys. Anyway thanks for participating and I am sorry If i bugged you with my troubles
Re: Post as another user if you're the administrator of the forum?
this is my personal opinion
as an admin and founder I never correct/edit another member's post if I see something that needs correction I use the moderation rules tables or I post a comment
if your request is complete please mark it as solved

Re: Post as another user if you're the administrator of the forum?
Why if they are members of the forum, they do not want to post the content themselves? Also are you saying you will be posting it as them?
