Embed music videos no is illegal for you (your forum), but is illegal for channel on youtube if they posted the video with copyright. The plataform (the Youtube) is responsable for check copyright on videos and ban him. But, if video that you post on your community is against TOS (https://www.forumotion.com/terms-of-service), so your forum is illegal also.

Looks, this video (create a free forum) no is illegal for Youtube, but, if was illegal for Youtube and you post in your forum, and this content is against the Terms of Forumotion, so your forum is illegal also. Other example? If this video that cite show "how hack the bank" for example, and you post on your community, your community is inducing your members to practices against the law, you understood?

However, if you incorporate a song by a singer, but youtube give the content as illegal and you embed in your forum, your forum no is illegal, because you no know that this content is illegal on channel of the video.It's a pretty broad subject, but the most confident answer is from a lawyer because he knows copyright law better.

Am I able to embed a song in a post?

In other words, play it safe and don't post it on your forum, since your still violating copyright infringements by using other peoples content on your forum. Unless the creator give you specific permissions to use it, i would not do it.

Unless you created and produce the music yourself, I would not take the chance of getting a copyright infringement warning or ban.

As Shek said, as long as the site is legal (and making serious moderation on its content) you can embed their videos. Except if you are sure that the wanted video has been posted on Youtube without any consent

Just to clear this up.

 Youtube only post embed codes now this lets you use them on any sites including our sites.

Now where the law comes in is you can't modify the code or remove any copyright on the video's / Change the look of them.

90% of  Youtube music has a copyright on them BUT it will stand as long as you are using the embed code you should not have a problem.

Youtube would not give a embed code if it was not intended to be used on other sites you just can't copy a track to save on your computer or put to a cd as this would be theft.

No you can't change anything or you could be breaking the law. I am about 98% sure on that sorry.

it's copyright is Vevo as you can see it has a logo on the bottom right hand side you try and remove the video and just have the track playing it would be breaking copyright law's as you changed the file to take it.

Now if you add the video on your forum you are not breaking the law of the copyright as it has a share embed code.
