double posting problem/spam filter?

when posting two identical messages in a row, got this error saying:
"You have already sent this message recently."

is this a spam filter and is there a way to turn it off?

yes, replies in a topic.

Is this exactly happening when you send just one reply?   It has been happening randomly the last couple years on the support forum.

It happened to me also yesterday randomly to a topic but only one time since then

For me it's happening every time when i send identical post two times in a row (in 5 min interval). of course, it's not a big problem, i'm just curious, why this happening.

as already said we have had this our self and we reported it back then and was told as they could not reproduce the problem and it was only once now and then we could not test why this was going on.

The sad thing is un-till it gets worse we can't find out why it does it and trust me we know its a pain in the BUTT.

I see a post last night that had the same problem on here.

Wait a minute!  Are you saying that you are posting 2 identical replies on purpose or by accident
