Please check urgently!Re: dial tcp: lookup forums.freesbc.com on 127.0.0.11:53: no such host
hello
check this option
Go to your Administration panel ... General ..Forum... Forum Address
In the "Personalized domain name" tab, the option Force the URL redirection gives you the possibility to automatically redirect users who will access the forum by its old address to the new one.
you can also read https://help.forumotion.com/t10579-custom-your-domain-name?highlight=domain

I don't have that option In the "Personalized domain name" tab. ANd I can see the correct domain name there too.

Re: dial tcp: lookup forums.freesbc.com on 127.0.0.11:53: no such host
You have to redirect through CNAME your domain to your forumotion forum, follow the tutorial that put you the moderator to do it, and if you can not get it, ask the administrator of your hosting that will help you do it since the domain is not forumotion It is external.scivici wrote:I don't have that option In the "Personalized domain name" tab. Re: dial tcp: lookup forums.freesbc.com on 127.0.0.11:53: no such host
The CNAME configuration is done. When we type forums.freesbc.com, it goes to freesbc.yetkinforum.com. But couple of days ago it was showing forums.freesbc.com when we connected. Why does it show freesbc.yetkinforum.com?
Re: dial tcp: lookup forums.freesbc.com on 127.0.0.11:53: no such host
Hello I have looked at your account and I see you have installed the right address and it is working.
Now the page times out before the page can load so I think this is a problem with one of the following.
The address you have is not set up right with your domain host.
The address is not linked to us right.
Advice:
Call the host of your domain name and ask them why you are not getting the service you have asked for.
Sadly we have no power over the host and the domain name from your host.

Re: dial tcp: lookup forums.freesbc.com on 127.0.0.11:53: no such host
There is still something wrong with this. It was working without redirect or adding cname before. Our fqdn was forums.freesbc.com and when we connect this web side we can see the correct name on it.
Re: dial tcp: lookup forums.freesbc.com on 127.0.0.11:53: no such host
it is a problem with your Domain name and not our end.
You need to call your cname provider there is nothing we can do as we don't host your domain.
If you remove the cname then it will work with your old address.

Re: dial tcp: lookup forums.freesbc.com on 127.0.0.11:53: no such host
it looks like you have not set it up right on your forum.
If you like you can PM me your Admin account info and I could log in as you and take a look at your settings to see if you have set it up right.
You will have to send it to me by PM only not here in the public forum.

Hello please read your PM i have sent you.
I need to know what address you want to use on your forum
right now it's linked to https://freesbc.yetkinforum.com

Hello Ape,
He has really to check in the Administration Pannel by his registrar what kind of CNAME and redirections he has.
(Maybe make a screen if he is not sure)
It is important to know that we can manage only one CNAME (so it is not possible for example to have
forums.freesbc.com > CNAME > freesbc.yetkinforum.com AND
www.forums.freesbc.com > CNAME > freesbc.yetkinforum.com
Is he sure they did not change anything by the registrar ?
Thank you...

Please check the redirect configuration https://i.servimg.com/u/f31/20/38/20/89/micros10.png
Re: dial tcp: lookup forums.freesbc.com on 127.0.0.11:53: no such host
You are seeing all redirects configured in the Domain provider. The only problem is on forums.freesbc.com. It goes to https://freesbc.yetkinforum.com and opens the web page. The problem is, last week when we type forums.freesbc.com in the browser, we can see the opening page was forums.freesbc.com, not freesbc.yetkinforum.com.
I am still not thinking this problem comes from our Domain provider because nothing changed there in 3 years.

Re: dial tcp: lookup forums.freesbc.com on 127.0.0.11:53: no such host
have you called them by phone or Email and asked them if they have a problem?
Right now we can't see any other problem.
If you have not changed anything on your ACP and on your providers side then I really do think this is a problem with them.
I have sent the screen shot off to our head office and its set to in progress still s they will see it when they to the tickets.

Re: dial tcp: lookup forums.freesbc.com on 127.0.0.11:53: no such host
I think there is a miss understanding of the problem. The forum site is reachable. When I type forums.freesbc.com from a browser I receive the forum freesbc.yetkinforum.com. The problem is here. In the web GUI, I must see forums.freesbc.com, not freesbc.yetkinforum.com. This is why we spent credits for Domain Name from the admin panel.

Re: dial tcp: lookup forums.freesbc.com on 127.0.0.11:53: no such host
@scivici ,
Can you try to change the type of redirection DNS setting by your Registrar from "A" to "CNAME" and clear the cache?
Regards, Joost

Here is why you are having the problem.
This is not anything we can do you have to make the change it your self or talk to your CNAME provider.

head office wrote:Our System Admin checked it out, and in fact he has no CNAME more for this domain (apparently, some change by his Registrar!) , the type of redirection must be CNAME, not A : https://i.servimg.com/u/f92/18/61/26/52/image_12.png
