Solved Enabling HTML through profile

Post by Lirbo June 26th 2023, 9:30 pm

So in order to allow a user to use the [html] tag apparently you both need to enable HTML on the Administrator Board and specifically for the user on it's profile.
Now I managed to activate the HTML on the Administrator Board, but I can't manage to do it on a profile.

I was given some guide to follow a while ago but I couldn't find it.
Here's what I was doing so far:
Enabling HTML through profile RsrWeLk
Enabling HTML through profile SlQXaMy
Enabling HTML through profile OLiqmCT

Good evening!

1) AP - General - Messages and emails - Configuration - Allow HTML - Yes - Save.

Enabling HTML through profile Scree183

2) Profile - Preferences - Always allow HTML : Yes
Save

Enabling HTML through profile Scree184

Enabling HTML through profile Scree185

I would like to point out that in this way you can only allow yourself to use HTML in your posts.

You will not be able to make such changes to the profile of other forum members. It is up to each member to decide if they want to allow HTML in their profile.

You can create a tutorial for your users on how to enable them to use HTML in their messages

Thank you, it is now working.
However I faced more issues, I can not use the <style> tag, meaning I can't do CSS...
I also was wondering if JS is possible?

Read this tutorial carefully.

The place to write CSS code: AP - Display - Colors&CSS - CSS Stylesheet
The place to write jQuery/JS code: AP - Modules - Javascript codes management

Also, you can write CSS/jQuery/JS code in templates: AP - Display - Templates.

If you have a specific question about using CSS/JS on the forum, open a new topic and describe your question in more detail.

The subject of this topic is to allow the use of HTML in posts.

We seem to have worked out how to do this. I assume the subject of this topic has been resolved?

I'm afraid it is still not allowing me to use CSS Sad I changed unprotected HTML to All Members:
Enabling HTML through profile SoTE9eX
Enabling HTML through profile QY1PsiX

Also yes, I was referring to Javascript when I said JS.

I understand that I can write CSS in that specific place you told me about earlier, but I mean what if I want custom CSS for that specific thread?

You can not add CSS to post.  You have to use HTML coding.

Use the inline method of inserting styles into the message.

Code:
<p style="color: #ff3366; background: yellow;">Red</p>

Either wrap the text in div or span containers, give the blocks classes and style them with AP

JS and jQuery can only be used in AP
