First topic message reminder :

Once again I am finding that I am not receiving the newsletter .

That occurred to me today . So I went to my AP . Clicked on the See the newsletter "Popular contents" .Which took me to this

That newsletter page .

I cannot seem to access the list . But luckily I copy each nesletter I receive to the newsletter forum page .

Did not come to me via email . And obviously none of the newsletters after Mon 17 Jul 2023 - 20:58

Have not either .

This is concerning . Again . As this has happened before .

How can I access the missing newsletters and prevent this from happening again ?

I'm not sure what your reply means ?

Those email addresses you gave me are connected to the 2 forums I gave. They are considered the creation emails.

Okay . I guess I confused the 2 . Founders and utilities .

As those emails do not exist ( to me ) . How do I then change them ?

They do work .

It is now obvious that there is no problem with my gmail email . Why then am I not receiving Popular Contents ?

Do I need to change the creation email to my gmail ?

Because the one you gave me does not exist anywhere except to open that forum .

I now know the emails for the creation accounts for both forums .

Those emails only exist to open those forums . They are not active emails that can be used to receive emails .

In my main and only forum . My main email works for new user accounts , topic replies , Private messaging . and Forumotion support forum replies . And everything else .

Except to receive Popular Contents Newsletters .

What must I do to receive Popular Contents newsletters in my email ?

Is this problem stumping support ?

How hard is it to guide me to correcting whatever is blocking Popular Contents ?

When you had this issue last year, APE asked you about modified templates?  Did you reply back to him?  From our tool, I can see that APE reported this issue last year for your forum.  They said that you modified a template that removed popular content.  They asked for you to try the default templates to see if you would receive the popular content newsletter.

You are referring to last month .

Check page 1 of this thread please .

There has never been a time when Popular Contents was deleted by me . There have been many Forumotion Support Mods inside my AP . If they made changes ? They should fix them .

The default templates have always been applied .

I would remind you that the only way to get in to your templates is to use the founders account.

Test account's with admin right's can not see your templates.

Now it is down to the admin/ founders to deal with the change made to your forum CSS and other codes.

Now if you gave an account with admin right's to a staff member then we can't be held responsible for any changes made.
You give out account's at your own risk.

Again . Templates are at the default and always have been . No changes have been made to anything .

Another interesting fact '

The prompt in my AP .



I have already reported that it no longer is the prompt to show all of my past Popular Contents Newsletters .

The interesting thing is . That everyday ( not once every 2 weeks ) . A new Popular Contents Newsletter is automatically created .

By clicking this prompt .



Each day . A new Popular Contents . With topics created the day or two prior to this day . This day , each day . Is shown by clicking on this prompt . Yes . I said a new newsletter is created everyday . Not every 2 weeks .



I'll bet you didn't know that .

There will be a new one created tomorrow . With topics from today and yesterday . And another one crerated Monday with topics from yesterday and today . And so on .

I do not need a newsletter for every day . I would be happy with 1 every 2 weeks .

If I am not receiving the newsletter notifications . Am I to assume that no member receives the newsletter ?

I'm afraid these questions ( all of them are are a burning inquiry for me ) . I cannot just let them go .

Please try and discuss my issues with someone in higher support . Who knows how these things work .

Till tag @luzz on this one but i can't see what your problem is and as i don't use it i can't really help.

Just a side note thou.
If the system is making a news letter then it is sending them out. we can not help you if your service provider of your internet is not sending them to you.

And no you making a change in your ACP for your Email address is not going to help your only make more problems for your self if you keep making a change to your account.

My advice is to ask your members if they are getting the news letters from your forum but keep in mind your members might not have it set to get news letters.

How can I make it any clearer ?

I have never changed my email in my Forum or any other place . I have used the same primary email for 30 years .

I get all functions coming to my email . New users , forum replies , Private messaging , forumotion replies , etc , etc .

I do not receive Popular Contents .

Again . I have never changed my email in 30 years . Not here . Not there . Not anywhere . .

You all keep thinking many scenarios that just aren't correct .

If I enter the address of the forum you gave me in the PM into the tool we use, I see a report from last year about the same issue.   They said there is no popular content because you had modified templates.   So you are saying that there is no modified templates in the forum in question?

Yes that is what I am saying . Not only am I saying that . But up until a little over a month ago I was receiving Popular Contents . On and off randomly for over 5 years . Mostly all the time . About every year or so Popular Contents Newsletter just stops coming . Then it will start back up again at some point . Randomly .

Look i have tagged @luzz to take a look for you that is all i can do.

If the head office and tech team can't find a problem then I'm sorry but it must be your end not ours please hold on for a reply from our team in the head office NO need for any more posts they will reply when they get a reply from out tech team.

As you are the only one having this problem and no other reports was made from other members i would still say it;s your end.

I know you think it is my end .

So if I receive new registrations ( I just got one ) . Forum replies . PM messages . Contact messages . Forumotion forum replies and PM messages . Everything else coming to my one and only primary email .

Because that is what my forum and system settings are and have been set for . For 10 years in my forum . 30 years for all other intents and purposes .

Then how can a function of your creation . In a forum provided and administered by you . A function such as Popular Contents . Not able to create newsletters on schedule . Not able to provide me with email notification every 2 weeks . No longer provides me with the full list of newsletter archives . Be caused by something on my end ?

If in fact it is a corrupt program in my forum ? How did it get that way ? What can be done to correct it ? These are questions in which I am hoping that Forumotion can provide me answers for .

That has always been my intent .

EDIT : It seems as though you are saying the words " On your end " as though that lifts Forumotions responsibilities from this matter . That would be irresponsible . To say the least . If your " tech team and head office " cannot find the problem . Then they must be missing something . They might need to look deeper , harder into the matter . So that a solution can be found .

We are looking at your problem, I'll get back to you as soon as I have some information. 

By the way, yes, as far as I know, the click on "See the Newsletter Popular Content" can generate a new NL, so maybe it's not a good idea to do it every 2 or 3 days

EDIT : after consulting our techteam, I have to make an important precision : the NL is generated each time you go on this page, nevertheless it will be not sent more frequently than every 15 days.

As I can see, there is surely a very simple reason why you don't receive the Newsletter Popular Content any more : you put the the related option in your profile on "No"  (Profile > Preferences) :

That is very strange considering I never look at that preferrence option .

I am very happy you were able to see and point out that very simple fix .
