Popular Contents Newsletter

Once again I am finding that I am not receiving the newsletter .

That occurred to me today . So I went to my AP . Clicked on the See the newsletter "Popular contents" .Which took me to this

That newsletter page .

I cannot seem to access the list . But luckily I copy each nesletter I receive to the newsletter forum page .

Did not come to me via email . And obviously none of the newsletters after Mon 17 Jul 2023 - 20:58

Have not either .

This is concerning . Again . As this has happened before .

How can I access the missing newsletters and prevent this from happening again ?

i repost the answer from our tech team regarding this issue

When you change any templates any new updates made by us to our system will not be installed to your modified template's
so if you don't see the updates then you need to modify the template your self.

Please look at your templates and set it to default templates and see if you get any popular content emails.
If you do then you will need to replace parts of your modified templates to make it work with the changes you have made to your templates.

Is there a particular template that has popular contents in it ? I don't see it .

I clicked force the default templates .

Nothing seemed to change .

some general information

The automatic newsletter can contain up to 5 topics, 3 events, 3 publications , and 3 classified ads , from the forum, and depending on what is activated or not...

The topics selected are based on an algorithm taking into account the responses provided and the content of the messages. They are selected only from forums accessible for reading to guests. The events, announcements and publications displayed are respectively the three most recent in each category...

The frequency of sending this automatic newsletter is of the order of one email every two weeks ,
If over one of the 15-day periods the forum has not accumulated enough activity for an automatic newsletter to be completed no email will be sent...

That is understood . As I have received 63 of the 66 newsletters since it's inception . Starting Newsletter: https://www.valleyofthesuncc.com/news/2018-02-18

When in the past . I did not receive the email notification for the newsletter . I could always go to my AP . Click on the full list and post the ones I had not received ( they were all published , but not received ) . As there has never been an issue with not accumating enough activity for an automated newsletter to be completed .

My issues presently are :

Not receiving the email for the newsletter . ( the last 3 issues ) .

And no access to the full list of newsletters for my forum .

Those are my 2 issues .

Clicking on " See the newsletter "Popular contents"" in my AP only takes me to the page of the current newsletter https://www.valleyofthesuncc.com/news . The latest one I did not receive by email . No longer does it show the full list .

No . I haven't used that since I stopped doing my own newsletters in 2016 .

This is what there is there now .



I used to use it for delayed sendings and to view the archives . As you can see it is quite empty now .

The prompt See the newsletter Has always the link to view the past newsletters in my forum . But it only shows the latest newsletter .

As a matter of fact . I would like to know why the archives is empty ?

Are you sure that your forum has enough of the activities for the popular content newsletters?

Can you inform me if we are speaking about the founder's account email for these issues?

I was going to ask if the email addresses that you entered in the AP for the image hosting, contact form, etc. are the same as the founder's account email address?

Yes I have checked and double checked . They are the same email .

About a month or so ago . ( about the length of time that I haven't received the newsletter ) . I had trouble logging in on my phone . So I had to change the password .

No change to the email for 10 years now .

Also as I have reported before several times . The newsletter is addressed to an alias account ( That I created at some point ) . Not my username and not the founder . But with the same email .

If you look at my previous posts on this issue . You will see that you have said that does not matter . Even if I delete the alias account . I should still receive the email .

I may have deleted the alias acoount . Or I may not have . There are probably 10 of those accounts just for Forumotion Staff alone .

The founders email remains unchanged .

Some thing changes on your end .

I deleted those users .

I have quoted it in bold this time .

You are not understanding what I am saying . Administraters of the forum ( me ) . Had a link that is a page in my forum that displays every copy of ALL the newsletters .

It was very handy . In that if I were to not receive a newsletter I could get that newsletter from the complete list .

I no longer have access to that page . Therefore I cannot update my list of the newsletters . To include the missed copies .

Luckily I was smart enough to copy these from the list I no longer have access to . So I have most of them .

As you can see from my copy of the list below . I am missing the August newsletters . If I still had access to the list . I could insert them and post them .

The link that used to show all the newsletters does not work any longer . It now only displays the current newsletter . Which means it is not working for me or you . I am the only one that should be able to view that page .

Lol . Not to mention . The newsletter you displayed was new news to me . Again I did not receive any email , notification , push notification that the September 16 isuue was sent out .

Therefore . Both of my issues remain . This is getting very frustrating .
