Spam help SOS.
My forum has suddently become a hotspot for Daily spammers.
I have done all I can to keep it off my forum but this is frustrating. Is there any suggestions.

Re: Spam help SOS.
Good afternoon!
Unfortunately, there is no universal defense against spammers.
If spammers start bothering you - you can temporarily make it harder to register on your forum, for example, by manually activating accounts by the administration.
As a rule, most spammers will not come to your forum again. They need to make a post here and now.
You can also increase the time between posting: AP - General - Security - Flood control.

Thank you and Good Morning,
I have already tried that, I have flood control set for 10 seconds to make it easier for users, but I might increase that.
Here is a screen shot of the type of content I am getting. All drug related and from Africa. From what the IP address states.
I am curious to know if there is a way to get a post approved before posting. So if a new member joins the first post must be approved by Admin. I have other security set up where they need X amount of posts before they can post a PM to anyone. I dealt with that issue a year or so ago. Not had any problems since then, but now yikes.

Hello
You can also ban the email and the ip through the admin panel
The idea about approval has been suggested 2-3 times , i think its a nice idea https://help.forumotion.com/t25989p90-moderate-each-post?highlight=apporved+post

@skouliki
I have been doing that, I deleted 2 accounts after banning the IP and Email... But left one account with open that is banned both IP and email
I noticed in the past there was security but that had issues. I seen the Godfather's post about it... where security thought new members were spam.
So besides the above banning ... has security improved or is there something I can look into buying to add onto the forum? If not I get it and we can close this thread. Thank you though for helping.

Re: Spam help SOS.
I am afraid that's all we can do
personally, to avoid this in my forum i set the option that the admin has to activate all new accounts
